Overall a decent resort with a lot of beach things to do. Entertainments seemed to have fewer options than prior trip but new theater set up was nice. Room was booked with Hotels.com (Expedia) and got the end room on the building overlooking a construction site. Also, the in room Jacuzzi only had one faucet that worked. However, it was quickly fixed.
Buffet food variety and quality seemed less in both factors. Dinners had a cycling feature, Mexican one night, Dominican the next, etc. Few varieties of non-featured foods. Quality was fairly poor on some offerings, on those nights I ate at one of the resort's restaurants.
I originally had booked a stay for a following month that canceled and rescheduled for this one. On that one I was charged two deposits but only one charge refunded when it was canceled and rescheduled. Neither Hotels.com nor Majestic admit they processed the charge. Ongoing dispute through credit card company.
The Majestic Elegance is a nice place with friendly helpful staff. Grounds are excellent and the beach is marvelous. But overall, my impression of this trip is that it is overpriced vs other all-inclusive resorts in the Punta Cana/Bavaro area.
