Not worth the price

This hotel is overpriced. It is old and dingy. T h e front desk staff are frustratingly loud. We showed up at 4:15 (checkin time at 3) and we waited over an hour for our room. Guests who got frustrated got a 10% discount, I was polite so I did not. The closest elevator was out of service. When we got to our room it was 80 F because there is no AC and it was on the 4th floor - something that was not mentioned in the posting. The room was decently clean - not great but not terrible. Thankfully we were only here for 1 night. I would expect to pay about $150 for a hotel like this. Very overpriced.

Amazing views and comfortable room

Great stay at Driftwood, we had a ocean front rooms and the views were amazing watching the sunset in the evening. Would highly recommend, breakfast is included but we had an early start and breakfast didn't start until 8am, which is a little late in our opinion.

The bed definitely could be way more cozier. The table could use another chair. The door didn’t latch all the way we had to have Maintenance come and fix it right away. At one point when we came back, our key was deactivated for some reason we had to go get it reactivated. In the pool room, it would be nice to have the showers. Have warm water.

Advice: Book another hotel

This is one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. If you’re thinking about staying here I would recommend you to reconsider. Our room hadn’t been cleaned. When we immediately talked to the reception about that they sent some kind of manager who just wiped the kitchen counter. But the crumbles all over the floor and the dirty bath tub wasn’t taken care of. We complained about this lack of cleaning two times after that and all they did was to make the bed, 24 hours after we checked in.

Run down, false advertisement

They need serious updates. The pictures of the pool area are false advertising. I booked this place because of the pool area. It's clear the water features haven't been used in a very long time. Almost all of their elevators were out. The overall condition of the property was poor and not maintained. Our room slanted downward. They need some serious structural improvements.

Needs update

The first room was awful. Went back to front desk and the offered us another room but we were unable to get into the room until almost 6:00pm. The second room was better but the whole facility needs a major update. Staff was friendly. The temperature at the coffee shop/ restaurant was set at 61 and we were all freezing. The food and service was good.

Fourth floor bungalow for two.❤️

We had a great time on the beach. I would recommend a water shoes not flip-flop or sandals. Our room was full of amenities. Full-size coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans. Dishware, cup and silverware. It has c a full size refrigerator and dishwasher with soap. Bed was a little firm, yet nice. They don't have comforter. You can ask for an extra blanket at the front desk. Coach was great. We enjoy the big balcony with gorgeous views. Bathroom was clean and offers full size shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap all liquid with lotion and they are all attached to the walls. That was surprising and nice. They also had a blow dryer. They have laundry room available as well on different floor if you need it.

Wonderful hotel, location, and views. BYO food

Loved the hotel, room, and location. Beautiful view from the balcony with any visual obstructions! Very friendly staff. Our room had a full kitchen, equipped with pans, utensils, and dishes. The bed and sofa was comfortable, and the kitchen counter had bonus seating.The restaurant was a missed opportunity. Great space and view of the ocean, but the food wasn’t that great, and the kitchen closed at 6pm, which we felt was odd. Cobb salad was decent, but the pizza was a greasy mess. Even after asking for it well done. Only other options were burgers or fried food. I would definitely stay here again, but would do my own cooking next time!
