One night family fun in Lake Placid
Family, 6 adults, overnight vacation in Lake Placid. Spectated Nordic high school ski race at Mt. Van Hoevenberg, recreational skiing on trails. Spent overnight at The Devlin, Art Devlin Suite. Very clean, open gathering area with electric fireplace large enough for 6 adults to gather comfortably. Kitchen, pots/pans, utensils, microwave, stovetop, large refrigerator all very clean. Soap, sponges provided. Needed extra garbage bags. Master bedroom very large and clean. Comfortable bed. Loft bedroom, full beds not queen beds, no TV in loft bedroom, but comfortable. Bathroom very large and clean, plenty of towels, soap/shampoo/extra toilet paper provided, toilet had issues with flushing but able to work with it. Walking distance into/around town. Staff very friendly. Would stay here again.

Olympic nostalgia
Lovely place with lots of character. View of the mountains on the balcony. Walk to the ice rink in 4 minutes. Walk to mirror lake in 5 minutes. We also loved the bowling alley right next door!

The Devlin is our "Go To Hotel" in Lake Placid
The staff at the front desk were very friendly and extremely helpful. We love this hotel due to its lovely rooms, which are clean and very spacious. The Devlin is our "go to hotel" whenever we are traveling to Lake Placid. For the price, you cannot find a higher quality place to stay.

Amazing!
Best hotel in Lake Placid. The apt was amazing! Big room at the top floor with 2 big beds and an unbelievable master bedroom at the first floor. The kitchen is so fun and we made a great dinner there. Shower and Bathroom are bigger then most of the rooms I have stayed at in the US 😁 The Christmas tree was a great touch to a beautiful living room with an amazing view! Staff was also very helpful and kind.

I recently planned a 2 night stay and after the first night I left. The kids running around, screaming, literally sounded like a dance party above my head. Woke up to gum stuck to my car windows and soda cans on the hood. During the first night I called the front desk twice with no actions taken. Because of my lack of sleep and potential more car damage I checked out a day early. Absolutely NO refunds, actually absolutely NO response from the manager after emails and phone calls. The lack of response from the manager is unfortunate because apparently the kids of the hockey tournaments are more important because the money brought it. I will be canceling an upcoming reservation to this hotel in January…and will never stay again. Great job Art Devlin…amazing customer service

The Devlin is a really nice throwback. Actual keys for the rooms. Entering the room from the outside. It was great. And the rooms have all been updated and modern. They're clean and spacious and comfortable. The location is easily walkable to downtown Lake Placid. And the price was very affordable. I'm looking forward to being back there soon.

Noisy rooms
Unfortunately we had a negative and noisy experience. Our room was a ground floor room with the AC facing towards the adjacent property which is a bowling hall and concert venue. Until past 11pm we heard loud music and cars. At 1:10AM we were woken up by a group of loud people walking by our door. The guests above us woke us up at 5am with walking and we were not able to get back to sleep. Ceilings are wood and we heard every single step. Because of all of this we hardly got any sleep. Matresses were extremely soft and when we arrived the toilet in the bathroom was not flushed. Not related but generally the furniture was outdated and lived in. The positive reviews online made us book this accomodation. Front desk staff was friendly but didn’t offer anything. We really wanted to like this place but our experience unfortunately will not make us come back.

The Devlin is situated at the end of the main strip close to the arena. This is indicative of loud hockey teams. It is an older motel so the sound proofing could be better. That being said the staff was great and the rooms were decent.

The Devlin was a convenient choice for a two-day hiking trip in the Lake Placid area. The staff was efficient and the room was in very good shape. It was nice to be able to walk to shops and restaurants.
