Poor decision by charging for a 2nd night not used
Booked a 2-night stay. At 4pm the day after our first night, something came up and we had to leave to go home. Was okay paying for a late checkout fee, but instead was forced to pay for the entire next night we wouldn't be there. We were told because housekeeping had gone home. However, the hotel was empty - only a few cars in parking lot and hardly anyone staying in hotel. There was no need to charge us the full amount for the 2nd night we wouldn't be there because the room wouldn't have been used anyway. Whether it was policy or greed, it was still a bad decision because I will never ever go back to this establishment and now likely won't ever stay at any other Wyndham hotel property. Had they been courteous and provided good customer service by just charging us a late checkout fee, I wouldn't feel this way. Bad decision.
