This place has gone down hill over the last year. We usually come here 2-3 times a year for skiing. This year it’s very evident that it changed hands and the quality of everything is worse.

Bad Time Cedar Creek
My experience was not a good one. We stayed in the themed suite with a whirlpool. The room had no soap in the shower and the front desk didn't believe me that there wasn't so I had to take them in the room to show them there wasn't soap. Then we were given sample soap that washes hair but no body wash. So after swimming once we had used all the soap they gave us and had to use hand soap to wash our bodies. The tv didn't work and most of the channels were not working. The couch had tears in it and the door had gouges. I had fond memories of this place as a kid but it's not the place I remember going for birthday parties or having slumber parties. I don't know if I had bad luck or if the place has gone downhill. I hope they fix the problems and not let a bad experience happen again. Overall the pool was nice and the hot tub was hot. The breakfast they offered could be better than scrambled egg patties greasy sausage patties and burnt waffle irons.

Good Place to stay for an overnight stay
I like to stay here overnight in Wausau after driving up after work in order to get a good night’s rest in order to have a fun day skiing at Granite Peak the next day!

Very enjoyable weekend!
Customer service was outstanding. Super friendly and outgoing. The elevator was out of service, however we were on the 1st floor so that didnt affect us. Hotel was clean and the pool and hot tub were enjoyable. When they came to clean the rooms, they left the pizza boxes and beds didnt get made, (but maybe thats a thing now?)but always had fresh towels. I would definitely go back to this hotel if in the area again.

Homey up north feel.
I have stayed here before. This time I got a suite. The room was a good size. Loved the shower but the room did not have any amenities such as shampoo or soap. I asked and got some. It would have been nice to have somewhere to hang a washcloth. Breakfast was fair. I'll stay here again. Great location. Canteen, coffee and cookies upon arrival.

Lovely people and comfortable beds
Traveling with three kids for holidays. Room was great with comfortable beds. Could use a little updating in the bathroom but everything worked. Pool was nice. Looked like there was some updates happening but it didn’t get in the way of swimming. People were very friendly. They do have a very strict rule about having guests visit with you. So their cousins wanted to come swim and then we could all hangout with them but we would have had to pay extra per person so they just went to where their grandparents were staying and swam there. Breakfast selection was basic both mornings. It was well kept but the eggs weren’t great tasting and no sweet rolls or muffins which surprised me mainly because it was Christmas. There was a waffle machine though. I would stay there again but the strict rules on visitors and basic breakfast does influence me to consider other places.
