Extremely Disappointed Birthday
The purpose of this stay was to have a birthday party for my son. I specifically booked two joined rooms and was told I had that at the front desk when I checked in. However, when we arrived to our rooms, they were not joined. My room was joined with the loudest and most verbally abusive family I've ever heard in my life. I seriously almost called the police. I went back to the desk to resolve they joined rooms issue and was told there was nothing they could do. The front desk woman was nice, but very difficult to understand with her accent. The other woman was very dismissive and almost rude. I asked for a refund and was told a manager would have to do that, but apparently a manager was not available all weekend. I'm hoping to hear from someone for a refund. The rooms smelled like sewage and occasionally cigarette smoke. The doors slammed so loudly all night, they shook the hotel rooms making it impossible to sleep. A dog kept barking. The Wi-Fi was extremely spotty and made it so the kids couldn't play their game together. This completely ruined their experience. The breakfast and the pool was great however, so I gave the hotel a poor rating instead of a terrible rating. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Pending a refund, I will also post a warning on the Upper Valley Facebook page.

The bathroom floor could have been cleaner but overall I had a nice stay. I know my room was to be a far walk so the girl behind the desk decided to move me (I use a cane) only I had a king and went to 2 queens right above the pool. The staff was very nice, restaurant very good as well as breakfast. I’d come back again and stay only keep my king.

Overall this place has charm but is definitely dated and a bit dirty. The pool and hot tub were packed with people so we did not enjoy those items. The HVAC in our room was very loud and came on every 10 minutes or so despite adjuments - I got a terrible nigths sleep. There was food stuck to the side of the night stand next to my bed - gross. The vanity was chipped in several places and cracked at the drain - needs updating. Found some hair in the tub. Loved the coy pond and turtles. Front desk was very curt.

Our family was in town for a ski trip and booked this lodge particularly for the hot tub (called the day before to confirm its working condition), as advertised on their website. IN short the hot was NOT working and the management offered to upgrade our room to a Suite with Hot Tub, which was appreciated after a long day on the slopes. Arrival at our room was a shock to see that the room contained no more than a standard tub, wiht no jets. Guess they just wanted us to go away. We will not be back and I highly recommend you find more suitable accomodations bc their website is not accurate.,

The check in was rough. The employee seemed annoyed we were checking in and was a little rude. Mini fridge in room was dirty and the bathroom was small and needed some cosmetic repairs

The room we were originally assigned…..upon opening the door we found it had not be cleaned ie unmade bed; we weren’t sure if it were currently occupied. Returned to check in desk and were reassigned a new room.
