Overall disappointed with our stay. When we arrived there was no parking space with our name. We parked in a free bay and we were told to park in another bay with someone else’s name.
We ordered drinks before dinner and felt that we were short changed on the measures. Arrived for dinner at 7.35 for dinner, my partner then had a starter but our main mean wasn’t served until 9pm after we asked what had happened! Ordered steak medium rare and it came well done.
Couldn’t understand how the heating or towel rail heater worked in our room and no instructions in our room, had to ask downstairs for them to turn it on for us. Said they were working on instructions.
Paid the bill on exit but then noticed they hadn’t credited us for the deposit paid for dinner so had to call and ask them to credit our card.
We did point these things out as we went along, got a credit for our meal, free drink on the house but to be honest it spoilt the whole experience. Plus little things like no soap dish, nothing in the mini bar, that would make a difference. We wouldn’t stay in. Hotel du vin again.
