Beware

During check in there were four couple waiting to check in behind us the clerk told a gentleman that was sitting doing something on the computer that there were more guest that needed checked and he said so!! Very unprofessional to say the least . The cleaning staff was very rude would push cleaning carts in front of you and not even acknowledge you were there. The room was dirty cobwebs hanging around dead bugs on the walls there was a piece of the roof on the balcony that looked like it was going to fall off the sheets on a king size bed were for a queen so just made it to the sides. I think if the staff would take some pride in their jobs and hotel it would be a great place to stay. The view is amazing that is the only thing this place has going for it

Fun time

We had a good time in Mackinaw City. Our hotel room had a beautiful view of Lake Huron and the Saturday night fireworks. The hotel is an easy walk to the ferry for a fun day on Mackinac Island.

My stay

The hotel is decent but not for the price. The place is a little outdated and could use some refreshing. Beautiful view of the lake from our balcony. The beach behind the property is a little unkempt, could use some cleaning up. After I booked the non refundable room some similar hotels popped up with much lower rates. It was a Spur of the moment booking so overall wasn't the worst but certainly wasn't the best deal on hotels.com

Very noisy, dirty, and pool location

I had a big suite and everything was okay until I looked up the ceiling and there were multiple dead and alive bugs (also well as spider webs) as well as rust and mold near the AC unit. Also, there was sand in the indoor pool (even though there is no sand anywhere). The worst, however, was the very loud group of people on the "private" beach. They played drums until well over 10 pm on a Sunday night. The front desk was unwilling to ask them to be quieter.

Windows to look out on the lake were really dirty. Bathroom counter missing part of the tiling. Halls freshly painted and new carpet. Rooms seemed dark.

Unparalleled view

Lovely hotel, the view was unmatched. The room was clean and the layout is great for privacy. I did notice that the paint on the balcony door trim needs to be scraped and repainted. This is a small problem. Laying on the bed and watching a storm come in over the water was priceless. As I said before, the view is unparalleled. Would recommend this hotel, and of course , get a room facing the lake.

The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. The tub/ shower needed to be cleaned. They came in our room only to empty trash and place towels. The bed wasn't made. That's sub standard service at best. Teach your maids how to clean a room. Use a vacuum please.

Room had a musky smell we stayed 4 nights asked for clean towels on the second day never got any. Carpet needs to be cleaned walked around in white socks pretty sure there trash now. Beach wash very dirty. Bottles laying by the burn Pitts from the first day we were there. Cans and trash every where

Good stay for a Family

This hotel worked really well for our needs on a recent long weekend trip to the area. We liked that the room had 2 separate sleeping areas and plenty of space. The balcony view of the lake was also very enjoyable. The staff at the front desk were very kind and helpful. This hotel is a bit dated and could use some upgrades to the rooms and common areas. Two areas in particular would be the beach area (clean up the sand, remove trash, maintenance of the outdoor furniture, etc.) and the fact that there is no where in the hotel to get any kind of food (except for vending machines).
