Room was decent and the area was safe-wouldn’t stay longer than 1 night though

Unfortunately, our first room that we were assigned had a horrible musty smell. Went down and got reassigned to another room that didn’t smell as bad, but the bed was rotted and the tub bottom had a horrible creek that made it sound like you were gonna fall through the floor.

All in all we were happy with the place. Breakfast was also good 👍 I was told they were waiting to remodel soon so that is why the condition was poor.

Comfort inn in cave city KY 9/5/25
Had difficulty during the check in, the room they assigned me had a very bad odor which my wife detected as soon as she walked into the room. The hotel representative told me they only had one other room available but the room will cost twice what I my reservation confirmation quote was. She explained that she was not able to adjust the price but will leave a note for the manage in the morning to have her review the issue and make the appropriate changes. The next morning before I left for the event my wife and I were attending, I check with the hotel front desk to make sure the night front desk attendant had left the note for the manager detailing the the problem with room during my check-in and the adjustment require for the room price for the room I was giving to resolve the issue with the room that was assigned for my reservation. The front desk representative told that she hadn’t, seen any note left for the manage to review. Again I when over the problem I had with the room during the checkin the night before. She wrote the information down and assured me that she would pass it on to hotel manager for review and adjustment as necessary. During the checkout the front desk representative told me the amount of my stay was twice the amount of my reservation I asked her to speak to the manager and I was told I was not allowed to speak to the manager since my reservation was made through a third party I needed to speak to the third party I went through the reservation.
