The suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. The AC was excellent and parking was convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. The two pools were clean with plenty of chairs. The beach was beautiful and clean as well. The restaurant food was good...especially the pizza and burger. You may or may not get used to some flies visiting outdoor eaters. This happened at other outdoor restaurants on the island as well. Overall, we would return here to enjoy what Exuma has to offer.

The check-in process is wonderful. Everyone is, especially the waitress at the 23 North (Hilton) restaurant. She's fabulous and professional. She made us feel good. The barbecue guys are also nice and very kind to us. And most importantly, the room was very clean 💯% and the girl was very nice. I love that place. My wife and I stayed 4 nights M-Th. The property is a large gated Villa community and our One Bedroom suite was very spacious. The property was extremely clean and staff was friendly and accommodating. The Palapa restaurant was the only dining option on Monday and Tuesday as the Jerk Hut and 23 North are only open starting Wednesday. We rented a golf cart for $30 per day to assist with getting around the community and was well worth it. We spent the majority of the days on the beach and chairs/umbrellas are set up daily along with clean towels. The service was nice at the restaurant yet a bit on the slower side which we did not mind. The closest convenience store is a 7 min drive and a larger grocery store is about 10-15 taxi drive. If you want food/items delivered to you; you can request the items 72 hours before arrival. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Convenient location for pools and restaurants. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Such a beautiful setting and hardly anyone there, literally had the place to ourselves - perfect.

Looks Like a Resort, Feels Like a Letdown

We chose Grand Isle Resort for our first trip to Exuma, expecting the convenience of a hotel—onsite dining, a gym, and some flexibility—but it fell short. The villa was spacious, though the promised “ocean view” was just a distant sliver. The gym was small with outdated equipment, but usable. Palapa, the poolside restaurant, offered bland, repetitive menus; conch fritters were doughy, and the Bahamian snapper was mostly bones and oddly deep-fried. The mahi sandwich was the only standout. 23° North was a birthday dinner disappointment. The steak was unevenly cut and inconsistently cooked, the grouper was just okay, and despite noting the occasion, we had to ask for a candle. Service throughout the resort was strong—unfortunately, the food didn’t match. One major letdown was the resort’s rigid 11am checkout. Unlike most hotels, they refused any extension. Worse, “bag storage” meant leaving luggage in plain sight by the front desk—completely unsecured. For a resort, this felt surprisingly unaccommodating. Also worth noting: the atmosphere leaned heavily family-oriented, with kids everywhere—not ideal for couples seeking a quieter stay. Next time, we’ll choose one of the many oceanfront private villa rentals. At least expectations there are clearer—and often better met.

It is an amazing place; people here are incredible. I have been in several islands, and you can feel here very nice, everybody is very kind, polite, educated, it is a great place to come if you like beech holidays.

Very beautiful! The only thing lacking was the service at the Palapa restaurant. It was so slow I thought they may be getting the food off site? Most of the waitresses had no sense of urgency at all. Even with that restaurant being below par, we would still come back and just be prepared with more groceries. It was very relaxing.

This resort is beautiful. It has everything you want for a relaxing and luxurious vacation! The restaurants on site are excellent, especially 23. The people that work there are friendly, and the condos are gorgeous. I already want to go back.

Aucune considération pour la clientèle

Je ne sais pas par quoi commencer tellement notre séjour a été un fiasco... - pour commencer notre vol initial a été annulé pour cause d orage. Nous avons été reprogrammé le soir suivant . J ai demandé pour avoir un geste commercial pour la nuit non honorée j ai vite compris que c était peine perdue. Ils me répétaient en boucle : " ce n' est pas la politique du resort de faire un geste commercial !" On repassera pour la compassion ! - nous sommes arrivés tard au resort , après plus de 24 h d attente a l aéroport... Bonjour l accueil , pas le moindre sourire, elle ne nous regarde même pas quand elle nous parle . - Nous avions réservé une chambre vue ocean. Je vous publie la photo de la vue! 😂 ! Alors ils m expliquent que le manager considère que c est une vue ocean ! On a pas du tout la même conception de la vue ocean ! Les photos sur leur site sont mensongères, ce n' est pas du tout la même vue! Quand on leur demande ils répètent juste en boucle : " je comprends je comprends" sans même vous regarder ! - une fois dans la chambre il nous manquait le lit pour le 3 ème enfant.. alors qu ils étaient prévenus. Une personne est venue nous apporter un lit pliant avec les draps a cote . A nous de nous débrouiller pour faire le lit. - le rideau de la baie vitrée cassé .il restait clos tout le séjour. On leur a signalé, aucune réaction - mes deux fils ont eu des piqures de punaises! - j ai rarement aussi mal mangé dans leur restaur! Du mauvais surgelé. passez votre chemin !
