The sofa sleeper was miserable. Matress didn't fit and you hit metal when you rolled over. Pool had chunks of something in the bottom and was dirty. Staff extremely friendly

Overall the hotel was nice. The room was comfortable. Front desk service was a little lacking. I needed to use the hairdryer in the room. Plugged it in…did not work. Went to front desk (had to wait almost 10 mins for someone to come out of the back) asked for a replacement. Got it and went back to my room. It did not work. Had to leave for my 7am meeting. Came back that afternoon and went down to get a replacement hairdryer. Took almost 20 mins to get a replacement. Plugged it in and it did not work. Took third hairdryer back to front desk. Someone from housekeeping was a front desk. Rep asked her to go and find me a hairdryer that worked. When she came back almost 20 mins later. Housekeeper handed me the hairdryer. I said thank you and she just turned and walked away. I guess I inconvenienced her. Front desk and overall customer service could have been a little nicer. Probably wouldn’t stay here again when I go back for business.

Three rooms in one night. First room we were given it appeared that someone was in the room, the beds were not made and there was food and drinks around the room so my kids and I quickly left that room. Second room the door on the furnace wasn't secure but there was an attempt to put a screw next to it to secure it and didn't lock as well as the thermostat was hanging off the wall. After the maintenance worker spent 30 min in the room with my kids and I in the room and he wasn't able to repair all the items that were broken I had to basically argue with the front desk to get a different room. Third room was decent although there was trash under the pull out bed that was damaged and had to be used as a couch instead of a bed. From the time of arrival to the time of getting the third room was over an hour. Nothing was ordered for the inconvenience.

Jesse at the front desk was exactly the kind of employee everyone wants to be greeted by upon arrival. He was polite and engaging to myself, my wife and kids. The kitchen staff was really great as well during breakfast. They were attentive and visable to assist with anything needed. We also want to say a HUGE thank you to the housekeeping and laundry crew. They went over both our room and the sheets (which had already been sent to laundry) in order to find my daughter's AirPods after we had already checked out of the room. Finqlly this this hotel is nestled in between Forest Park and Downtown STL. It makes for a perfect location to never have to be in the car too long when driving to the main tourists attractions. We would 100% stay here again!

The gentlemen at the front desk were very nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit dated but ok, the pool was small. Breakfast was good with quite a few choices.

I am disappointed with my experience at Residence Inn Downtown St. Louis and would not recommend this hotel to family or friends. We changed rooms twice because they were unclean. The first room had pubic hairs in the sheets and yellow stains on the pillow. The second room had a large urine stain on the sofa bed mattress, the air conditioner did not work, and one of the tables had a medium sized red liquid spill on it . The hotel did not look anything like what was represented in the online photos. The hotel is outdated, the pool was creepy and uninviting. I'm not sure if it was the reflection of the sun on the water, but there were a lot of particles of some kind floating in the water. The basketball court was super tiny, only enough space for one to do some free throws. The lady that answered the line at the front desk was nothing short of unpleasant, unhelpful and unprofessional. Still waiting on a refund.

Everything about this property was good EXCEPT they had one person checking people in and I waited an hour and 20 minutes to check in. They need more people working the front desk. This was ridiculous and reflects directly on management.
