The property is beautiful and the rooms were very nicely renovated. They have complementary snacks as well as ones to be purchased in the rooms a long with various beverages. The beds are very comfortable and there is a nice sitting area in the room as well. We had an amazing dinner at the North Star restaurant. My mother and I shared four appetizers that were delicious and very unique. We will definitely be back!

6/10 Good

I found the check in process to be difficult. (Although I’m old) There weren’t numbers on the rooms so that you would know which one was yours. I felt that the air freshener used was overpowering. I also felt that the room should have a usable table and chair. A lot of road noise in the rooms facing the highway.

The owners were very nice and their attention to detail was so appreciated. The rooms were very clean and decorated nicely. We would absolutely stay here again should we be in the area.

An attractive roadside motel with upscale touches! Firepits, free homemade yogurt and granola, soft rug, comfortable beds and nice linens. If you are looking for a (relative for the area) affordable and pleasant place to stay, the Alander is a great choice. Really nice vibe from the guests, too. People drink wine and sit around the fire pits quietly talking.

They have a long way to go before being able to charge $275 a night. Only 2 minutes of hot water in shower before it turned ice cold. Lumpy bed. Extension cords all over room. Finishing touches are lacking…. Restaurant not upscale as described. Not a place to go for special dining occasion! I hope they use the comments constructively, as the concept seems fun… However we did not have fun.

Peace and Quiet
A very cute and quaint location. Easy check in. There’s a restaurant located at the hotel. I did not eat there but it was available. The town is close by if you need any snacks or last minute items.

Dog-friendly gem
Wonderful place to bring a dog for a weekend outside the city. Rooms were spacious and clean and with great modern design elements. I wish there had been a more visible reception/lounge area where we could chat with front desk etc but other than that was a perfect stay. Will definitely be coming back to try out the restaurant!

Cute boutique hotel
Cute boutique hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Excellent communication with the managers. Easy self check-in. Room wasn’t as clean as we’d like (a couple hairs in the shower) but overall everything else was great.
