Waterpark and indoor pool was shutdown for a few months. Wifi was barely functional. No cable tv. Just a roku tv. Smoke detector was hanging out of the ceiling by a wire and no battery was in it.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC. DO NOT DO IT.
DO NOT STAY AT THE POLYNESIAN! Absolute trash! The building looked like it hadn't had any maintenance done in over a decade. The trim boards around the whole interior were peeling off, the halls had the musky smell of sweat and body odor with a hint of cheap air freshener in an attempt to cover it up. I had reserved a double queen room. When we got there, they had put us in a king room, so I went back down to get it all sorted out. The second room they tried putting us in was either getting some remodelling OR just abandoned and given up on all together. So, I went back down to get a different room that actually had the heat turned on and, yah know, flooring. I thought to myself "yes, third time is a charm!", but I could not have been more wrong. The third room we got put in had beds that felt like they hadn't been replaced in over a decade, the carpet was all torn up and stained with God knows what, the chairs at the table were so far gone that I was sure if I sat down, I would have fallen through. The table itself was barely able to stand on its own. The bathroom had black mold at the joints between the tub and the wall/floor, and the coffee maker was torn apart and missing pieces altogether. I ended up getting a refund for one night, but apparently had to eat the room fee for the second night. 100% DO NOT recommend for anybody to stay. Unless you are looking for a "Resort" that feels like you'd pay by the hour.

Lots of problems, but it was clean
First, the front desk sent me to the wrong entrance and wrong stairway. After dragging my bags up the steps I learned that the stairway did not go up to the floor I was staying at. Then when I got to the room I found the security bar was not screwed into door frame all of the way. Both screws were sticking out about 1/2", making it useless in holding fast against an intruder. As a woman traveling alone, this was almost enough to make me leave. But it was snowing, the roads were icing and I was exhausted. I went to use the phone to call the front desk, but there was no cord attached to it. I used my cell to call and was told the phones are disconnected. Ok, really?!?! Had the bedding not been spotless I would have left and demanded a refund on my non-refundable reservation.

Looks can be Deceiving
We stayed here two nights since it was relatively close to a competition we were attending. The room was clean and it was very quiet. The internet sucked but that wasn’t a big deal to us. Don’t let the exterior fool you. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay consider the Polynesian.

We made it work for a weekend
They have you sign a waiver and check off multiple things when you check in. Basically you get charged if you do anything, including open the patio door ($100charge) which typically in December would be no problem but the heating/cooling system did not work probably and it was 100 degrees in our room. We even switched it to AC but it was still extremely hot the whole 3 days we stayed. Rooms are spacious & have updated beds and flooring but otherwise is very run down. Even found about 6 or 7 different bugs crawling the walls during our stay. The TV is really small. Shower was hot and had pretty good pressure but didnt drain very well. Hopefully you read the reviews ahead of time to know that the pool is closed. Only took us 10 minutes to get to Great Wolf and Kalahari!!

Very disappointed
I booked this hotel for my family soley for the pool. Upon our arrival (we didn’t get there until after 5pm) we were told the pool was was closed until May 2025. Was never told this prior to booking. It was too late for our to attemp to find a new hotel to book. Very disappointing. Rooms smelt bad and the entire hotel was freezing. Uncomfortable pull out couch bed, no vending machines for drinks or snacks
