The staff was nice but the hotel is pretty outdated. It looked like they recently painted but there was a very odd smell when we first arrived and lasted into the evening. We looked in at the indoor pool and there appeared to be a film on top of the water, no one was in it. We found ourselves trying to find things to do so we only had to be there to sleep and shower. Breakfast was mainly cold items with the exception of waffles and scrambled eggs every day but no meat or potatoes. We were looking for reasonable accommodations and that's what we got but I would suggest spending a little more to get a little more.

It'll do

Great place to sleep! Beds were comfy, and the room was nice. The whole property looked freshly redone. The pool had a dirty ring around it, dead bugs and debris on the deck, and oily scum floating on the water. Our fridge didn't work in our room. We were there for 4 days, and the public trash cans were overflowing and never changed the whole time we were there. The breakfast was ok but the same weekday or weekend. They were not prepared, or maybe equipped, for a lot of guests, so waiting for eggs to cook was constant. The OJ machine was also broken, so that cut down on options for non coffee drinkers, and they have no vending machines for other drink purchases. Great place to sleep! Comfy rooms and beds! Right off the highway, close to attractions.

Horrible experience

Hotel clearly hasn’t been maintained. Broken tiles in pool area, broken doors, missing door handle on pool entrance, exterior doors that wouldn’t lock, to name a few. Pool was disgusting, cloudy water. Breakfast was subpar. The actual room and beds were decent, otherwise an awful hotel. This was my first time staying at a Baymont and I’ll never stay at another one after this experience.

I was expecting a cleaner room, the room was rather dirty looking, the office chair in the room was sticky and dirty, floors we rather dirty looking and I did not want to touch anything in the room. The room really needed a refresh. The hotel was easy to access and I did feel safe getting into the building and to my room, which was a huge plus for me. However, I carry Clorox wipes and managed since the room was very affordable, which I also appreciated. It was close to a Meijers and there is a Walmart immediately behind the hotel.
