Dirty
First off the outside door from the parking lot that says it’s locked for safety is not. Second we had 4 people in our room and they only gave us 2 towels. When we left our room did not get cleaned nor did we get anymore towels. I asked the front desk and they never brought them. Then we went to the filthy pool that had no towels. When we asked for towels for the pool (again for 4 of us) we were told the max of towels per group is 3. There was so much mold in our bathroom and the toilet was gross when we arrived.

Worse service ever
Sink was broken and water was dripped all over the floor. Took over 30 mins and 2 call to service desk for them to move me to another room. Next morning some kids running around. Loud music from other room. Very disturbing (unable to rest at 7am) and hotel did nothing to quiet them down when i was ask to keep my pet quiet at all times but they didnt mind other people (i felt target)

Call before staying here if traveling with pets
I travel a lot and usually am very low key with my reviews of spaces. This hotel has a lot going on and should let guests know ahead of time. First, they say this is a pet friendly hotel but they charge you $75 per dog. Make sure you are aware of this if you are traveling with two dogs. Secondly, the hotel is under construction and a building is being built next door. Be aware when you book if you’re looking to sleep in.

Extremely unpleasant stay
Our stay was not pleasant from the very beginning, at check in we noticed that the hotel was under construction, advertised pool, hot tub, and fitness room (actually the entire 1st floor) were unavailable. The staff made a point, quite rudely I might add, to tell us that we would have known had we booked through the property not used a "third party to book." I had booked 3 rooms for my family on the same reservation. Our room were not together. I got up the next morning to take a bath/shower, ran the tub to about 2 inches and the water was cold. We were given another room and told, we could move or stay where we were or just shower in the additional room??? While waiting for the front desk staff to evaluate the hot water situation, I went down to get a cup of coffee, it was cold. There was another group in the hotel the second night of our stay, that came home from their night out, VERY LOUD and spread through out the second floor, so they woke our entire family, so we drove home with very little sleep. Hotels.com, or any third party booking agent should be apprised of the condition of the property and not advertise amenities that are not available. I will probably not EVER use Hotels.com again and will definitely never stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Carson City.

The hotel was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast on offer is great, especially the cinnamon buns. The tv had lots of channels and the staff was very competent, kind and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area. 10/10 would recommend

This property has bed bugs, black widows and roaches. It is very dirty all over. The breakfast was old and cold. The staff, manager was very rude and I accommodating. We made the mistake of booking with Expedia because we had to check out early due to them not having any towels after a long day at a swim meet. We had already used our 4 towels more than one day and they had no way to replace them without washing and drying them at 8:20 at night. Expedia told us to check out then they could refund us for the last day and then we could request a refund for the 2nd day. The manager became nasty and refused any refund at all so we paid for two hotels. The pool and spa were green and unusable. The chemical smell was so bad that they had the windows open but it did not help. Another tenant found huge bed bugs. We returned to the property to try and work out a partial refund and found people in the lobby that were waiting for their room to be fumigated for black widows and roaches. This place should be closed.

Several maintenance issues in our room: missing bathroom fan, mirror and door lights out, no kleenex, charging power outlets not accessible due to poor cap alignment. I would normally report issues to front desk but from previous interactions i didn’t feel comfortable. We were scolded when we sat in the eating area before 7 am. Also, there were multiple signs pasted to doors about no towel availability. We will not return to this hotel.
