Nice hotel with room issue
Check-in was friendly and quick, and the lobby was very nice and comfortable. When we got to our room, we were at first pleasantly surprised to find the heat was on and the room seemed comfortable. We soon learned, however, that the room heating system was "stuck" on - the heat was being moderated by an open window and the outdoor air streaming into the room. We turned down the heat to below 60° to eventually turn the room heating system off, and coped with the non-functional thermostat for the rest of our one-night stay.

Terrible filthy. Would not recommend!
Everything floor, room and hallway we walked through was dirty. Food crumbs in the bed. Dust on the floor. Pills on the floor. Dirty shirt on the floor. Dirty bra on the bed stool. Dirty fake eye lash stuck to my sock. Claw marks on the bathroom door. Entry light flickers. Bathroom fan noisy. Pool area was filthy. No towels. Pee on the bathroom floor and toilet. The lady at the front desk gave me 1 sheet when i told her our bed hadnt been changed from the previous person. I asked for all new bedding and she handed me 1 blanket. I had to go to the front desk to get these and change the bedding myself. Random space heaters in hallways. With kids running around yelling and cussing in the pool and hallways we were kind of concerned about them getting knocked over and starting a fire. Also it would be nice for the hallways to be marked a little better so you can make your way around better. On a positive note the pool was cool that you could go inside and out and the breakfast was very good! We will not be back.

Pretty decent stay
Staff is always friendly and we feel safe staying here. Bathroom could have been cleaner and someone needs to vacuum around the edges on carpet. The dust was very thick. Could also invest in better mattresses.

Friendly Staff & Reasonable Rates, but...
Personnel were friendly. Rate was favorable. Exterior of hotel looks nice, interior was clean but dated. The cabin/outdoor themed interior is unique, however our room, along with common areas had some scratched or flaking paint. Pool area also had flaking paint and the whirlpool mechanism did not work. Breakfast rated ok. Appreciated the good rate when booked through Hotels.com/Expedia.

Hotel was quiet and comfortable. This is an older hotel and needs some updating. The jets for the hot tub did not work and the breakfast was cold. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Spend a little more and stay somewhere else!
We had 10 minutes of hot water and then it went cold. Also, coffee station is ok, but not without any cups (no plastic, paper, or glass). Also, walls were dirty and furniture was quite beat up.

Cozy stay at Stoney Creek Hotel Columbia
Really cute and clean hotel! We needed something that was spacious and safe for two dogs. Loved the whirlpool tub and the size of our room! The puppies could run around and not disturb other guests. Front desk staff were very helpful and nice!
