I was in a car accident and was towed to this property. I had a concussion and stayed pretty much in my room. The owners were really nice and checked on me to make sure I was okay. I really appreciated their kindness!

There had been water damage, one corner of the room. The wallpaper was peeling off and it smelled like mold. It was quite unbearable, but I had some natural bug spray that smelled like lemon that helped tremendously. It needs extensive updating.

We're always happy to stay at the Rodeway when we visit Elko. Convenient, reasonably priced, enjoy the owners. I like the fact that the shower/bathrooms have had a recent capital upgrade and I like them.

We like staying here each time we have to pass through the ELKO area. There are some really nice and affordable restaurants just a quick walk away and then it is off the main road, so it is pretty quiet and safe. The only downside is no pool, but that's okay

When we had trouble with our key card, the desk clerk re- coded it and told me to pass the coded stripe slowly in the reader. It worked. It’s an older motel and desperately needs maintenance and updating. The shower water knob was missing the lever to rotate the on/off knob. Luckily I had a pair of pliers in my truck to turn the knob. There was peeling paint in areas. The breakfast choices were very limited but I expected that, so that was no surprise. The staff was friendly and accommodating though. I do have photos of the deficiencies but can not post here. At the time of booking this motel had a rating of "8". I have no faith in Expedia's ratings.

Rodeway needs some work
There was an odor of urine in the corner by the table. Maybe someone snuck an animal in by another guest. Because it’s a no pets facility. The beds were comfortable but who ever made them needs a lesson in clean corners. The staff was friendly and accommodating. When we had trouble with our key the desk clerk came up with me and help. There was a coffee pot but nothing to make coffee with or cups and the normal condiments. It’s an older motel and desperately needs updating.

We stay here anytime we are headed through Elko. It's an easy stop as we are traveling the distance to Reno. This time was a little more lack luster. The TV didn't work (they did come and try to help) and the floor was very dirty. Both our children took their shoes and socks off and had black feet after walking around the room a few minutes. The breakfast is also poor in choices but you get what you pay for. This is a very affordable place to stay and the room was a nice cool temperature
