Please Read
I didn't request a ground floor room but when I got there I stated if a ground floor room is available it would be preferred, they said none were available and that was fine I forgot to state my preference, my knees are bad and so I struggle with stairs. This would be no issue if they hotel were full, both mornings of my stay the same one person and only 2 cars in the lot. I don't know if it is just a lot of work to switch a room after paperwork is printed but I don't believe they couldn't accommodate my request, as I said I had no problem at check-in that they couldn't accommodate but the hotel was empty

For the price this was incredible. It's not new or done out with modern lines and pristine looks,but what it does have is a big room, a/c, fridge, coffee making facilities, free breakfast (waffles, yoghurt etc), free parking and free coffee all day in the lobby. And a swimming pool and hot tub. It's the closest hotel to Erin Hills golf (15 mins drive, $25 uber). There's a place to buy booze across the road, and a few food options. Bear in mind this is a small town, so having a couple of options to choose from is fine. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Reminds me of the Quality Inn we also stayed at - maybe both used to be part of a chain?

The staff member that checked us in was very nice and we were able to check in an hour early. We stayed 3 nights, our room was never cleaned, if we needed clean towels we had to get them from the front desk. It appears that people live in this hotel it was just strange.

Uncomfortable vibe
Hotel itself was nice but had a number of families living there full time. Parking was a challenge with children playing in the parking lot. Overall that gave the place an uncomfortable vibe.

Okay if you just need a comfortable bed
The room was comfortable with the exception of the outlet that started smoking and burned up the phone charging plug so we couldn’t charge with it near the bed. TV had really limited channel lineup - nothing for kids. It felt like a family was living in the hotel as staff, always the same group outside the doors and children in bare feet in the breakfast area. It made my teenage daughters uncomfortable to take the dog out with a group of men watching them. Parking is tight if you have a SUV or truck. Disappointed that the hot tub was out of order and the pool area bathroom was disgusting and didn’t seem to have been cleaned throughout multiple pool trips. Worked in a pinch for the location and price, but probably would stay elsewhere on a future trip.

Welcoming environment
The staff were fantastic. Eager to help. Everything was neat and organized. Our room was clean and inviting. The room was the same one we stayed in last year. The TV in our room has 3-4 vertical lines thru it. Same thing last year. The TV's sound was horrible. We stay there after Quad Graphic Summer picnic. This is a yearly stay.

First let me say that the young lady that checked us in was great! We got there about an hour before check in and asked if it was possible to check in early. She said let me check with house keeping if your room is ready. Room was cleaned, she just needed the head house keeper to sign off on it. They definitely went above and beyond here. We quickly dropped our stuff in our room and didn’t return until a little after midnight. The property is older so I understand stuff is a little worn or stained… however, the multiple hairs still in the shower and hairs on the bathroom floor tell me the bathroom was not cleaned or not very well, at least. We didn’t notice any of this when we quickly dropped off our bags otherwise we would have said something right away. But at midnight, there wasn’t much we could do about it then. This only made us notice more of the poor cleaning all over the place. Also, there was only one pillow per person while most hotels have 2. We woke and were out of the hotel by 7:00… nobody was well rested, the air didn’t work well and the room had a very damp feeling to it. . All of us decided to skip the shower because yuck! Thankfully we were headed home from there. Staff was friendly, but we would not recommend or stay here again.

The staff is helpful and courteous. I often will need early check in’s when driving from city to city and over time you can tell when the customer service person is making a promise/commitment just to complete the transaction and they have no intention to follow through. This is one of the few hotels where the staff is genuine and they follow through on their commitments. The facility is clean but it could use a face lift.

Pool and hot tub closed no previous heads up that the pool has been closed. The tv had distorted lines all throughout the screen it affected the visibility. They had like 10 channels. Carpets had runs and tears all through the room constantly catching our toes and tripping. We couldn’t change rooms they were sold out

Not the greatest.
Front desk never manned. Had to ring a bell and wait for them to come everytime. At check in they were on the phone the entire time. Hot tub broken, pool was ok, but had to get towels at front desk, which was not manned as previously stated. Breakfast provided was not stocked. Multiple requests for juice and waffle batter. TV channel selection was awful!!
