The property is bady in need of a refresh. It looks like one might have been done in the last few years, but the qualify of workmaship was poor, partiuclarly the paint jobs on the doors (hinges had paint on them, irregular paint texture on the doors exterior where a label was removed).
The marketing value associated with the famous people who've stayed there was diminished by the cheap wooden signs posted on the doors. I'd recomend a more elegant sign.
The rock/fossil display in the lobby was interesting but, agiain, it's marketing value was diminished by the quality of the printed descriptions. The paper on which the descriptions are printed need to be replaced with something of higher quality to reflect the quality of the experience one would want to associate with the motel.
Also, we were dumbfounded that we were unable to get back into the building from the courtyard (all doors were locked). We had to knock loundly on multipleexterior doors to get the attention of a guest inside the hotel so we could re-enter the main strucutre.
Receptionists were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast offering literally was the worst we've experienced in our travels. The second morning, we elected to go out for breakfast.
Good luck. I hope the reinvestment associated with my suggestions generates a valuable return on investment.
