This was a really nice stay. The unit itself needs updating, but the overall experience was exactly what we needed for a couple nights in Winter Park.

The location was perfect. There was a River right behind our unit and it was so nice to sit on the balcony to listen to it. Check in was easy and just as explained in the directions. The pool is closed during the summer. I didn’t see that disclaimer when I booked, so be aware.

We have stayed at Hi Country before, but this time, the unit had a huge drain problem with shower and bath sinks and we had to shower at the rec center. Luckily, the rec center has a nice shower, but they were out of soap and dispensers had been removed from the wall, so it was looking a little disheveled. One of the "owners" or residents of the property was very rude to us when we were sitting out in the common area just having a glass of wine. It was really uncomfortable the rest of the weekend. My girls were trying to play in the front yard and this guy was not happy. He just kept going up and down the stairs looking disgusted. the kitchen was uber-small and I had a hard time making meals and there was a tiny fridge with no ice maker. We were supposed to have a 2bd 2 bath unit and it was only a one bath unit. There were no condiments (ie salt, pepper, spices) like in other units we have rented here. No wood for the fireplace. Kind of disappointing.

I like the river through property. Most units are River front and what a relaxing sound that never stops! Love it! It would be nice if roads were paved but, hasn't stop me from staying here for the last twenty five years and can't wait to get back!

Our particular unit needed some updating. The mattress on both beds need to be replaced. Overall, it was clean and cozy.

For the most part everything was nice. But after a long day (or days) on the hill, a nice bed to sleep is essential. Our bed was lumpy, thin and slanted. The insulation in the walls must have been poor as well because our outer wall (right by the bed) was cold & that made sleeping that much more uncomfortable. I also feel that when we're spending over $300/night we should get more than one set of towels without being charged extra, especially since there were no towels available in the clubhouse. The icy walkway to the outdoor hot tub is a liability as well.

We have 3 relatively simple needs: WIFI, hot shower & a coffeemaker that works. In Hi Country Haus, none of those needs were met. It was our bad to not notice that there wasn't WIFI inculded, but silly us, we assumed in this day & age, that it would be. Even the front desk employee was surprised at it not having WIFI. Plus, the heat was impossible to regulate, so you either froze or roasted. Seriously, drop a $20 for a new coffeemaker that works! The place needs serious updating; definitely do NOT recommend, nor will we ever stay there again! Props to the management company for sending a text to the address of the property..however, the offsite management company is located a couple miles away, where you need to pick up and drop off the physical keys. No lockbox at the property. Pain in the neck...It was Room 315. Beds were OK, but the dogs in the building barked at all hours. Beware! Go elsewhere!

This property is old and needs some upgrading. Strange unpleasant mustiness as one enters the place. Telephone not working. Incorrect WiFi password given to me upon registration , so could not even use my laptop for internet services

The pool hot tub and rec center were lovely. The condo was okay for what we needed. Outdated bathrooms but overall very comfortable.

We have stayed at many, many places over the years in the Winter Park/Fraser area and this unit was by far the worst. I can't speak about other units but please stay clear of Bldg 15, Unit 3. Part of the ceiling light fell from the wall onto my friends head. No top sheets or pillow cases. Only two burners on the stove worked and they were the small ones. Carpet was extremely worn. Avocado Green bathroom (that's how old it is) And, a $20 additional charge at check in for towels (I guess it was in the fine print)! I hope the owner considers remodeling. It is way past its time.

Pretty disappointing stay this time. This is our second time visiting the Hi Country Haus. Before we stayed in a large condo in Building 5, which was very nice, clean and great view. This time, however, we stayed in Building 20, on the 3rd floor which was severely dated. The condo itself is very old and dated. The kitchen and restroom was in descent shape, but the rest was pretty terrible. The mattress on bed was collapsed and we kept rolling off. The sheets and comforter were filthy and covered in hair. Extra pillows and blankets were also covered in hair. The couch looked like something out of a frat house dorm room and needed to thrown out about 5 years ago. Basic items weren't stocked. There was only a single roll of toilet paper, no soap or anything in the bathroom. Overall the place is very dark. We ended up staying only 1 out of two nights that we paid for, of course no refund, and getting another, much nicer condo in Granby. The Pool facility, however, was nice. Overall pretty disappointed! Pretty sure we won't return here again.
