Everything was great about the stay except that their water heater had broke down and there was no heated water. I took a cold shower in the morning! The Assistant Manager, Melissa, said she could not refund me any money since I went through Expedia(Hotels.com) and only offered that she MAY be able to give me a discount if I stayed there on another date, but that was a "maybe" and was only because I asked about it. Compensation was not voluntarily offered and she admitted that it had to be asked for. In my case, going through a second party, I am told "I would have been able to give you a refund, had you not gone through Expedia. ...I could refund them but they will not give that money to you." It just seems wrong that a hotel that boasts high quality services could not at least give a discount on the next stay, not just a "maybe"
