Not the room I had reserved
Started to check in at the Horizons Inn and Suites and was told that the room I had reserved was unavailable. I told the clerk that I wanted to cancel. I found another hotel in the area and booked with them Later, I found out that was charged for the stay at the Horizons Inn and Suites. I have since contacted Hotels.com to have the charge reversed.

They had no control for the TV, there was no phone in case something happened. The room was super dirty and we arrived at dawn and there were people smoking outside the room that was difficult to get since the girl didn't tell us the room number

I was catfished by this property. I arrived on property after booking from the beautiful photos on a 8 hour flight. I was (what I thought to be) lucky to check in early to the one room available. That’s when it all went downhill. From the outside it seemed a little rough but nothing worse than a motel 6. Inside was a complete swap of expectations. I was able to take a 3 minute video covering everything wrong with my room. I know there’s some wear and tear of the rooms which is natural. But this room has not been touched by house keeping in what felt like at least a solid month. Curtains were disgusting and had holes, the security bolt was completely removed so I had no real security, filth and grime/spots littered the floor and desk, the microwave/fridge had not been cleaned in months from the look of it. This sounds incredibly made up, but there was a literal piece of spaghetti resembling an upside down question mark above the bathroom vanity. The bathroom had its shower curtain hung up and slightly resembled a scene from SAW. After 5 hours no other clean room was able to be made for our reservation. The photos are NOT CLOSE to how the property really is. Staff were kind but could not offer any real assistance. The first staff member I encountered would rather gossip with locals. She did however see my video and say it was not the standard of the hotel (thank god) but that’s all she could do. Property manager wont answer Expedia, don’t burn your money on this place.

I needed a place with a mattress and a working hot shower. The property scored high on both! If you're looking for something else, you won't find it here. Run-down hotel and room, neighbors quiet between 2:00am and 5:00am, all kinds of hair found in bathroom, dirty towels in drawers, stained blanket, TV remote given at reception if you don't forget to ask for one, no hangers, no iron, broken lock. Friendly staff. Still overpriced.

I’ve seen crazy houses cleaner than this property and the rooms here. There were blood stains on the drapes and broken cabinets and lamps. The bed frame was broken. Terrible.

The worst property i've ever booked on here. I felt unsafe being there and i refused the nasty room they teied to rent me. No lamp shades, one blown buld between the 2 lamps, and the sour mildew smell was so strong it was hard to breathe in the room when i first went in.

Dirty, Disgusting, Unsavory Guests & Drugs!
Pictures are deceptive of what the Hotel actually looks like on the exterior and inside the rooms. Our room was filthy, the bathroom had damaged floors, walls, there wasn’t even a shower curtain. Unsafe, people screaming outside, a little 4 year old girl was pounding on the door next to our room, crying for her Mommy, totally abandoned. Then people were coming and going all night to that room and we could hear the mother saying, “Shut up, people are trying to sleep!” Other hotel guests were fighting outside and yelling obscenities. Hotels.com charged me $103.04 for one night when the front desk on the property charges $64.04 for one night! Front Desk employees were extremely rude. If you have heavy luggage, there isn’t a dolly or an elevator, and the walk to all the rooms, which are outside, is long and there are a lot of stairs, especially to the second floor. Don’t waste your money, stay somewhere else, your safety and health depends on it!

Don't even!
OMG. Check in took about 20 minutes. It would have been longer but I left and went to my room. Desk clerk tried to charge me $25.00 CASH for incidentals, and in case I stole anything from room. There was not anything in the room that cost that much. Worst room I have ever stayed in. And I have been in hundreds. Door of room looked like it had been been broken into, or attempted to be broke into many times. Light switch when entering room had been destroyed. The bathroom was to put it mildly, disgusting. Toilet had not been cleaned. Shower curtain was very moldy along bottom. Upper soap dish had old nasty soap caked on whole surface. Tub was very stained and dirty. I would have slept in my vehicle, except I would have forfeited my room charge, it was late and I was tired.

We were turned away at the desk no rooms no power. It was nasty and noisey.Bad area. Looked awful from the outside. To top it off Expedia will not issue refund because property did not respond to them. We were staying because of power outage and damage from Helene. Now being charged for a stay that we were turned away a hotel desk. Would not have stayed at this place anyway

This stay at Horizon Inn and Suites was poor the bathroom and toilet and shower were dirty had to buy cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom and the microwave was in the bathroom near the sink needs in the bedroom floors were dirty had to use pine sol to clean floors could not get but 2 pillows per bed, also had bugs crawling on floor need more lights in bedroom only have one lamp. This hotel needs to be closed for a while to be remodeled because it needs it. The ceiling looks like it needs a new roof looks leaky.The wood on the bedroom wall needs to be treated. I give this a D rating it was not the best hotel i have stayed in. Hope this hotel gets the upgrades it needs.

Horrible experience. I booked and reserved TWO rooms and when my employees went to check in they SOLD our rooms even though i already PAID for them. There werw no more rooms in the city we had to drive 3.5 hours BACK home
