The honest truth is I was disappointed. But I had weirdly high expectations, I think. This property is essentially a really old motel that’s been redecorated. The re-decor is cute, but even that needs an update as everything is worn and sometimes in need of repair. If I were to do just one thing in the rooms, though, it would be to update to walk-in showers. If there isn’t budget for that I’d at least add a small fridge and a small microwave to the rooms. If I were to do one thing in the property, it would be to maintain the cafe area clean! Nothing worse than going to make yourself something to eat in a gross dirty space with gross dirty appliances. That said- the staff is very nice and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and the shower curtains (I loathe shower curtains) are at least hung on curved rods so they don’t chase you while you shower. So I’ve left it at a four, as while it won’t be my first choice in the future (I’ve already booked elsewhere for next year), it also wouldn’t be the end of the world if I had to stay here again.

Lipstick on a pig!
It’s a glorified old motel that was remodeled with nicer furnishings. Definitely just put lipstick on a pig! The ac unit was so loud and obnoxious turning off and on, the rooms are noisy (you can hear every step you take), and the beds are not comfortable. It was fine for one night but glad it wasn’t a longer stay.

Front desk service terrible
Hotel was well appointed, and the rooms were clean. Lobby was decorated nicely. At check in I told the clerk I wanted to split the cost of the room with the friend I was staying with where upon she mentioned we should do that at checkout. Next day at checkout I had to search for someone to come to the front desk. I was then greeted by Nannette who clearly did not want to be working. I said good morning and asked her how her morning was going, and the snarky reply was " I am here so how could it be good?" failing to say good morning or ask how our stay was. We indicated that we wanted to split the bill, and she said she already checked us out, so it was impossible to make the change. This was at 8:30am. For $350+ a night I'd expect better customer service.

One Night in Town
Stayed here for a basketball game at UGA; very short drive to Stegeman Coliseum. Easy to find. Easy check-in with very friendly staff. Comfortable and clean room. Quiet. Would stay ahgain.

Great stay.
Love this hotel. Nice location a couple streets back off broad street. Can walk or quickly drive downtown or to campus. The decor is lovely. Pet friendly. Nice breakfast. A grab and go market available also.

Great budget hotel. Exterior needs a little love
Room was clean and comfortable, a great deal for the price. Breakfast was really delicious and the lattes were tasty. The gym is serviceable, though the Peloton was out-of-order while we were there. The exterior shows signs of wear (Paint, concrete stairs separating from the metal frame) but otherwise quiet and comfortable inside.

Convenient, unique, renovated motel
Wonderful, unique, boutique “motel” in the heart of Athens. Close to UGA and downtown. Can walk everywhere. Entrance to the property is a little tricky. Restaurant was closed during my trip which was not indicated on website. Was able to use food credits at coffee bar located in lobby. Check in staff was not super friendly but evening staff was helpful and very friendly. Would definitely stay again! Loved the decor!
