Very disappointed in this hotel. Checking in was fine and the service was nice. The hallways and room smelled musty but it's an old hotel so I thought OK. However, we found dark stains on the bedsheets in the room when we arrived. The sheets smelled clean but there's no excuse for putting obviously stained sheets on the bed. How was that missed? I told service and they offered to upgrade our room but I thought changing sheets was sufficient. Sleeping was fine, it was nice and quiet. However, we woke up with scratchy throats and headaches. My partner has mold and chemical allergies and so we checked the AC unit in the room and found that neither the particle filter or the inside of the unit had been cleaned. We found a black crust on the grille inside the AC. We told the service desk and they sent someone to clean the unit but it did not help, and the unit started blowing black debris into the room and on the bed. The janitor service was out so we were told the unit could not be deep-cleaned. We should have left but didn't have another option for hotels that night. We felt worse the next day and checked out a day early to go to a different hotel. So, overall, the service was decent but the cleanliness and upkeep of the room was poor. It looked like their AC units hadn't been cleaned in a long time- they need to be deep cleaned or replaced. If you have allergies BEWARE of this hotel. Overall, I think this hotel is overpriced for what you get and can't recommend.
