Overall, we had an amazing holiday. The location was beautiful, the breakfast was excellent, and the hotel exuded luxury.
The pools were enjoyable, though the food and drinks were quite expensive. We dined at the hotel several times during the week, twice opting for the evening buffet and twice at the Blue Elephant Thai restaurant. There are some excellent restaurants in the area outside of the hotel, highly recommended that you explore the local eateries.
The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff was fantastic. We also enjoyed a jazz night in one of the bars, which was a delightful experience and definitely worth attending if it’s available during your stay.
The reception staff was courteous, professional, and very helpful. The Prosecco that greeted us after a long journey was a welcome surprise.
The only negative experience occurred on our final day after checkout. We checked out at noon and decided to have lunch at the reception restaurant, When I went to the bar to ask for some drinking glasses, the bartender was about to hand them to me when the floor manager, Rajendra, intervened and insisted I be given paper cups instead. I found this behavior very disappointing. I had to remind him that we had just spent thousands of pounds at the hotel and were currently paying for a substantial lunch. He reluctantly provided the glasses, but the incident left a sour taste at the end of an otherwise enjoyable holiday.
