Arrived at hotel, exterior was pleasant. Building looked like it was freshly upgraded. Interior was less than impressive.
Front desk person lacked any enthusiasm or pleasure to see us. They looked very tired. I just hope they weren’t sick. Room they gave us was wrong, it had 1 king bed and I had requested and reserved a room with 2 queens. Returned to lobby, had to show my reservation as proof of type of room reserved. Was then given a room with 2 queen beds.
Pool is not open, had sign “closed due to covid.” Looking at the condition of the pool, no way I’m swimming in that nastiness, covid or not. BTW, I don’t buy the covid excuse.
I like there were two tvs in my room; one in the sitting area and one in the sleeping area. Unfortunately, the channel guide was not programmed so I had no choice to surf for something to watch. It’s the details like this that can take a review from wow to meh really quick.
The pillows on the bed were disappointing. They were not full size, but small squares that went flat as soon as you put your head on them. The “free breakfast” was also underwhelming.
I selected this hotel for the free full breakfast, pool and exercise gym. Had I known they were going to flake on all these items I wouldn’t have stayed here. Note for future customers: call first to confirm all amenities are functioning before making your reservation!!!! I definitely overpaid for what little services I received.
