I was told by the front desk that my room had been checked into without her even looking at my ID early Saturday morning. Instead of checking my receipt she was reluctant to even attempt to help me and told me she would figure it out on Monday. After 20 minutes of blatantly ignoring me I was then told through my friend that I would get the police called for being “loud” and rude after refusing to help me even though she pretended as if I didn’t exist for most of the time. I only received help after I got on the phone with Expedia support and my friend told her we were both veterans. I have never in my life had service this poor at any hotel.

There is very little to commend this property. It is of average cleanliness. The front desk people are generally unhelpful unless it involves accepting your money, which they do with alacrity, seemingly the only item that is done with any haste. Even directions on how to get to your room were incorrect. All "services" are apparently outsourced and the stock answer of the front desk personnel I dealt with is "You have to take it up with the vendor." and would not inform you who the vendor might be but to refer to the number posted near the service.
Unfortunately, when calling the number, I was told they haven't handled Red Roof Inn in years. Hence, there appears to be no accountability at the Salem, NH Red
Roof Inn.
