We got to hotel and front desk was very nice and quick. Dropped our stuff in the room, which looked nice, and went to check out the pool area. The pool was a little smaller than expected but still nice. We went back to the room, changed, and went out. Got back to the room around 1 a.m. and the toilet was running. We looked in the tank and the flapper was disintegrating. We called front desk and they offered to switch our room. Since we booked thru Hotels.com, night clerk couldn't give us an upgrade but gave us free breakfast (which was supposed to be complimentary) and drink vouchers. She also left a note for the manager..who doesn't come in until 11 a.m. We got to our new room, which was much more dated than the other. The AC unit was falling off the wall. I took a shower and lightly bumped the grip bar and it fell right out. There was dust everywhere. The bed was still comfy though. We went to breakfast the next morning and ate a crappy breakfast, staring at a sign that said "please enjoy your complimentary breakfast" while listening to the host greet people and ask for their vouchers or room numbers and how many people so they can charge them. I used one of my drink vouchers later that day to get a beer at the bar. I started drinking it and my girlfriend noticed stuff in the bottom of the glass.
The manager doesn't come in until checkout is over. We would have had to plan our day around him to complain and try to get something out of it. No time for that in our busy day.
