I recently stayed at the Grand Beach Hotel Surfside, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. While the location and exterior of the hotel are lovely, there were several issues during my stay that left me disappointed.
Firstly, there was no cold water in the shower—only scalding hot water. This was extremely inconvenient, especially when I was mid-shower with shampoo in my hair and had to run from room to room trying to find a functional shower.i had 2 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms but only hot water .
Additionally, the cleanliness of the floors was unacceptable. When I wiped my foot on a towel, it turned black from the dirt. This is not what one would expect from a hotel of this caliber.
The bathrooms lacked locks, which compromised privacy, and none of the beds had proper sheets for the comforter. Initially, we assumed this was standard practice since all the beds were the same, but the front desk later informed us this was incorrect.
After raising these concerns with the front desk, we were told the manager would contact us before our flight, but we are still waiting for a call. This lack of follow-through only added to our frustration.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience in hopes that the hotel can address these issues. The potential is there, but attention to detail and guest satisfaction need significant improvement.
