Requested refund. There was no one to check in with and even hotels.com had noone answer when they called. Area was sketchy with people hanging around. Would not recommend.

Awful!
The absolute most awful hotel rooms. We were 3 couples with 2 rooms, and both rooms were very old and awful. Dirty, cracked, filthy walls, windows were old and filthy, one window had mounds of drywall piled on it, some of the drywall powder was all over the ledge as well as the curtain, the bottom portion of one wall had huge broken chunks missing, flooring boards in one room were all cracked and sticky. And as if this wasnt bad enough, we requested non smoking rooms. The walls are paper thin, bed linens in both rooms were nasty - stained and smelled of smoke, towels were thin and worn, dead bug in one room, live roach in the other. I use better towels at home as cleaning rags. One of the couples were so disgusted, they slept in our SUV. The other couple had what appeared to be blood stain, etc on their sheets. They had to grovel for clean linens, and permission was finally granted to the front desk by owner to provide clean linens. They were removed from another bed. Strange that they had another bed, as I had originally requested a room change and was told they were completely full. I personally covered my bed with my personal clothing to sleep. If it were not late in the evening (11:30 pm) and we did not have 2 toy poodles and 6 adults, we would have turned immediately around, demanded a refund, and found another hotel. Our group arrived at 11:30 pm and anxiously left at 7 without showering. I have photos but for some reason, I cant upload. Anyway, awful experience

only stayed overnight while traveling through the area. The room needed an update badly. It looked shoddy, doors had large areas of scratches where paint was peeling. Bedspread looked dirty. Shower curtain old and worn. Whether the room had been cleaned did not show because of the overall unkempt look.

Old Property, ill-maintained, Unclean (w/in room and around broader property), noisy, no fire escape of other compliance instructions posted anywhere w/in room, room not completely weather-sealed (visible air gap in exterior-opening front door). Would not recommend unless (a) escaping a natural disaster, and (b) couldn't find better. (Both true in my case.)

Red Ropf inn Richmond Hill is the dirtiest hotel i have ever been to. The first room i was assigned smelled of cigarettes and i left to request a new room before i even got a good look at it. The second also smelled of cigarettes and was so dirty. I wiped the floor with a washcloth and it came up BLACK with filth. The bathtub had cigarette burn marks and was dirty with ashes along the rim and the tub itself. The nightstand had some sort or wet/sticky substance and there was a gum wrapper on the bed. I have never been so disgusted in a hotel room. Hotels.com shoild remove this listing as an option.

Room was trash. 4 of the 5 lights in the room did not work. No toilet paper. Piles of dust and dirt around the bed. Stained bed spreads (multiple). Large holes in the walls. Ripped curtains. Areas that were plastered were not painted. Air conditioner was rattling and very noisy. I arrived in the PM so i only stayed 1 night and moved to another hotel the next day. I want a refund for the other 5 days.
