Mostly Fine during Groundhog Day Trip
Mostly fine! We knew it was a Motel 6 going in and weren’t thinking it would be luxurious but it definitely could’ve been cleaned better. All hardwood floors and tile require sweeping and mopping which is more strenuous than vacuuming and didn’t seem to have been done. The room was really hard to heat up and was around 65 when we entered. My biggest complaint is that we received a call about a week before our trip that the 2 queen room we booked wasn’t available anymore. We had to downgrade to a single queen which meant I ended up on an air mattress since there weren’t any other rooms available for Groundhog Weekend. Despite this claim that they’d over booked and our room wasn’t available, the hotel really didn’t seem to be very busy. I’m still a bit confused as to how the reservation got mixed up.

AVOID THIS NIGHTMARE
This hotel is horrendous. The lobby smelled of urine. Most likely from the dog behind the counter. The ceiling in my shower was about to fall in (room111). The bed was like I was laying on a bale of hay or something. The tv didn’t show a picture, only sound. The towels smelled like the were washed in fryer grease. AVIOD THIS PLACE. I should’ve just slept in my car and showered at the truck stop.

Mold!
We use to stay at this hotel, just to get away from home. We LOOOVE Cozumels and was so convenient having it attached to the hotel. With these new owners, the hotel has gone to crap. 1st, we arrived late and I contacted the hotel to let them know. Our daughter dislocated her elbow and broke her wrist at her wrestling tournament. When we got to the hotel after getting out of the ER, we asked the hotel for extra pullows so she could keep her arm elevated. They made it seem like it was an inconvenience. There were next to no cars in the parking lot, so must not be many guests. But we were told that they werent sure if they had extra pillows. Lol. 2nd, We had black mold in our room. Theres a leak from the room above ours, the ceiling was soggy and mold all over it and all over the wall in the hall. Like i said, we looooved this hotel, it was never this bad before. Guess we will be finding a different hotel to get away from home.

Spend a little more and stay at a better place
Not all Motel 6's are the same. On trip to/from NYC we stayed at a pretty nice one in Bloomsburg, PA. In Clarion's, the clerks were nice & TV worked fine. But sadly, the room was dingy (not enough light), the nightstand lamp switch didn't work, and the bathroom sink plumbing leaked when the sink was filled. My wife said, "They should be paying us to stay here!" We'll stay in a different place in the future.

There was used toothpaste all over the faucet. There was a used bar of soap in the shower, so it wasn’t cleaned either. There was something sticky spilled and dried on the floor. And the last thing, there was no hot water when I went to take a shower. Had I not arrived so late, I would have left then. I didn’t stay my second night. I cut my hunting trip short, and just came home to hunt locally. Each time I tried to call Expedia for a refund, it kept telling me that I couldn’t do it to the extension that I called, to please hold for a representative. Representative never came on, and a message told me to call back. I even tried communicating with an assistant on chat, but when I put my question in, and I did this four times, the chat assistant never answered at all. sad service all around from Motel 6 and Expedia. If they did not give me my refund, I will never use them again, as I tried for two days.

Overnight stay
It made do for a quick overnight stay to visit my son. The room was clean but not immaculate. The ceiling in the bathroom has some water damage. Front desk staff was very friendly.

There's nothing good to say about this property!! I mean, they have smoking rooms.. there was dirt on the pillows, it smelled of weed and ya stuck to the floor.. the pics and definitely not of the actual rooms.. looked like wrecked and abandoned cars in the parking lot.. do not, repeat, do not stay here.. this is one of those "pay by the hour" places.. needs bulldozed

I booked a delux room, which includes a desk, microwave, mini fridge. When I got to the room, none was there, just a standard room. No remote for the TV, bathroom was filthy with feces under the toilet seat.

Horrible
The room wasnt clean. Stains on sheets and towels. Didnt have towels or wash clothes when first got there. It took forever to get anything and they were sarcastic with apology. Outback was run down and had the workers from the mexican restaurant blasting music and haveing a party in the parking lot. Hated the experience and will never go back.

You get what you pay for…CHEAP
The room was damaged from a flood. I could smell cigarette smoke from the large crack. There was a hole in the bathroom wall. The place was filthy, the tub was not clean, random hairs were everywhere. The toilet seat was broken. No wash cloths. The room shouldn’t have been rented out in that condition. But it was cheap and I have 2 dogs.
