I stayed at The Inn on the River for my son's wedding in Pigeon Forge at the end of January. We asked for an upgrade to the river side and the front desk was very accommodating. Brandon, in particular, was incredibly helpful when I needed the "mother of the groom" speech printed. (The "business center" was pretty ineffective with an ancient computer, so Brandon helped!) Every staff member we encountered was super helpful and very professional. It is right on the main street and close to so much. If we were ever to go back to Pigeon Forge, we would stay here!

Wonderful!
We will definitely be back. The staff was so kind and helpful. My kids loved the popcorn and hot chocolate machine. They also loved the waffles for breakfast. We really enjoyed being out on the balcony and watching the geese and ducks. It is a beautiful hotel with a lot of great amenities. We had a great time.

Christmas in Tennessee
We have been going to the Pigeon Forge area for over 20 years, but this was our first time for Christmas and where we usually stay was closed. This was our first stay here at The Inn on the River, and it may now have become our permanent stay! The service from check-in to check-out was great from the front desk to maintenance to house keepers, everyone was courteous and ensured we had what was needed. I very much liked the room on the river as it provided some much needed relaxation. My only complaint is the rooms are somewhat smaller than other places we have stayed likely because of the large cabinet/storage space (which was nice). Otherwise lots of amenities from popcorn at night, large breakfast buffet, hot chocolate 24/7, indoor & outdoor pools, firepit patio, walkway by the river with swings and a grill. Very much enjoyed our Christmas stay here.

We have stayed at this motel at least twice before but this stay was not as enjoyable. The room was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. My main issue was a lack of enough wall plugs and not really ample lighting. I know they had recently made upgrades but I felt it needed some extra touches. Otherwise a 3.

Cozy with view
This is our second stay here at the Inn on the River. We love this place for the cabin like homey feel with a view of the river. I must say the Popcorn and Chocolate Chip cookies they provide daily are the best. You will not be disappointed.

Troubling
We have always stayed at The Inn in the River when we visit. But, after this time, we will definitely be looking for better accomodations. First, there was a leak. Which it appears to have been leaking for awhile. Even if room is not been occupied, housekeeping should have checked on room to make sure everything was ready. Next, since leak couldn't get fixed while we were in the room we had to be moved. The next room was smaller, bed very lumpy and heat didn't work properly, and when it started up, it sounded like an airplane taking off. The next day we spoke to front desk, they wanted to move us, we said no. Then they said maintenance would be there to fix it. It was never fixed. Third, There was a huge football team of preteen-teens that took over the hotel. They acted obnoxious, rude and parents didn't care because they sat back and let them do as they please. We had to call front desk several times. It appeared the hotel only cared about accommodating this group since it was a bigger group that came in and filled up the hotel We have never in the years had so much trouble from this hotel and have stayed many years there, but for now on will look for another one

Great location and plenty of parking. Rooms a little dated but comfortable and seems to cater to an older clientele or it was like that at the time of our visit. Breakfast was okay. We would stay here again but so many choices in the area. We recommend this hotel.
