My husband and I stayed at this hotel from the 19th to 21st July. We had a junior suite.
The positives: Centrally located and within easy walking to all the main attractions. The junior suite was spacious with two large French windows looking onto the main street.
There is a pool and a spa although our visit was so was short we had time to use neither. Bathrobes were provided, which is always nice .
The negatives: We checked in at around 4 pm and the small foyer was chaotic. We were not shown to our room and we had to ask directions. A €200 deposit was taken.
Our room while spacious was disappointing. The bed was uncomfortable the pillows were so cheap and uncomfortable that I had to go out and buy a pillow. The charging point by the bed did not work and when I tried to plug in a charger into the two port plug, the front panel fell off the plug which was usable.
The bathroom was dated with the top shower not working at all. The bath towels were very thin. The fridge in the room leaked and the carpet was wet .
Due to the age of the Hotel , you could hear people walking around above you.
The safe was in the wardrobe but so high that the chair was needed to access the safe.
All in all, I would say, the location is great. The room size was good. However, not enough care is given to things that make a stay enjoyable or memorable. Uncomfortable beds and nasty pillows ruin any stay. Lack of repair and attention to basic details is sloppy. We did not eat here!
