Nice view but condo needs some upgrading
The view off the balcony was fantastic. The condo was clean and adequate. However, the bed frame was in very poor condition and looked like it could break at any time. While we were instructed that it is a 2-mile walk/bike from the docks, the directions were poor and we got lost several times. Better directions and a map would have proved very helpful. Do not go back from downtown MC to the condo in the dark! It is very dark along some of the roads.

We always search for pet friendly accommodations, and halfway through our stay the management moved us because we have a pet. The room they moved us to was terrible, 85 degrees, extremely lumpy bed that hurt my wife’s back. No plates, silverware or glasses/cups. And to add insult to injury they charged us $75 pet fee, non disclosed on our reservation acknowledgment! Additionally be careful what room you get! The first pictures on the website show a lake front room, but we got a forest view.

We hiked to the condominiums from the docks, waited briefly for our luggage to arrive, then hiked back down, had dinner, and rented bikes for 24 hours. We biked around the perimeter and explored the interior of the island the whole next day, returned bikes, and hiked back up the second night. Then hiked back down the following morning and visited the fort and other historical sites the following morning and took the ferry back around noon. It worked out perfectly!

Very nice and clean unit for the price. No ac, but with the chilly nights we didn’t mind at all. The shuttle to the hotel is not free, but they will take your bags to and from the ferry for free which was nice. Would recommend just renting a bike to get too and from the hotel to downtown, as the carriages are slow and expensive. It was great for the price, and we would definitely stay there again!!

This is a terrible property. Run down, broken items, no air conditioning and screen on door was broken and off trac. It is also very inconsistent location. Avoid! Avoid Avoid!

Beautiful grounds. There is a hotel on the grounds with a $50 million renovation, a couple of restaurants and a general store…which is good because it is 2 miles from town. It’s an easy 2 mile walk along the lake to town.

Nice spot, although there was a long taxi wait and ride but that comes with the territory. A couple of minor house keeping issues but not major and housekeeping was great - could not have done better.

Poor lighting when arriving after dark. Ant issue in our room, crawling over the table tops, floor and in our bed! Had to wait until morning to call, staff offered to send someone over with ant traps. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but decided against that and left after one night. Staff did say they had a problem in another room a few days prior. We were told transportation to and from the location to town would be complimentary BUT when we arrived only the luggage was complimentary and every trip to/from town would cost $10.50 per person. They should have been more specific when asked prior to trip. Lesson learned.
