Room was only cleaned after first night. Both subsequent days, the bed wasn’t made, the coffee mugs and water glasses weren’t cleaned/replaced, but they did give me fresh towels each day.

Not as hospitable as a hotel should be

I really couldnt believe qhen i showed up and asked where i could buy bottles of water for the room, and they said "walmart or the bar has mini bittles for $3). For some reason i was gofted a coupon for a drink in the bar, but you dont sell water fkr the rooms of peoples dogs.. weird priorities.. all they could say was "we dont have a gift shop anymore". My response, "this is bad hospitality and customer service.." i stay in 4-6 hotels a week across the country.. a good hotel is literally hard to find anymore.. there is not attention to the guests at all.. if a guest needed to buy deodorant or a toothbrush, no luck.. and nobody could really tell me other than "i think theres a walmart somewhere "

Lovely

Great location, they are renovating so the main lobby is relocated during this time to the garden side. We had an updated room on the 5th floor. It was very nice. No hair dryer, but not a big deal grabbed one at Walmart for $10. Linens and bed were fresh and comfy. Towels were nice and soft. Not the hotel fault but someone set off fire alarm at 8:30 ish this morning but was handled very well.5 flights of stairs means I got my steps in. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. It was unfortunately for us a weekend of youth baseball tournaments so lots of kids. My only suggestion is to not allow baseball to be played in the parking lot near cars, other than that staff was amazing. I asked for a suggestion of a less crowded area to sit outside for some quiet in the evening and the gentleman working suggested the patio area by the main lobby that is being renovated as no one was over there and told me how to get there on one of the the pretty paths and I found that to be a perfect spot to relax for a bit as the other areas and pool were just over flowing with children having fun. Staff planned well for the kids and had us on a floor with no baseball team so it was great!!! All in all a lovely place, we chosen it to try the restaurant or bar as after full days of seeing family and being in busy restaurants and bars we just wanted some quiet time in the evening.

Construction!

Check in was at the back of the hotel due to construction. Tree trimming was also being done at that entrance. The walkway was covered with tree limbs and branches. Not only was it inconvenient, but also unsafe. When we came back after dinner, there was very little lighting on the walkway. When we turned on the shower we had to wait almost 10 minutes for the hot water to come on. Room was dated. A microwave and safe would be helpful. We were unaware there would be construction

Disappointment

This hotel used to be a 5 star hotel. The staff was not welcoming at all. They were all day in and out starring at their pc. Not a ‘hello’, ‘goodnight’, nothing, except for the night shift. The evening shift told me to in order to get ice cubes, I would have to go up on the 5th floor, to get my icebag. Then take another elevator to the 1st floor. Luckily the night security and night shift were customer service friendly enough to help. It is such a dissapointment from what it was. It was under renovation, and messes were left all over. Our first look had water seeping up from the floor ( we did get another one, not an upgrade, just another one) Our room was nice and new, but such a disappointment to what the hotel used to stand for.

Hotel under construction

Not the normal stay as the hotel is under construction. If you are drilling walls the room on the other side should NOT be an rentable option. Loud doesn’t cover it (beyond even a description) and because they sold out my room couldn’t be changed. I do get a restaurant voucher, but I would gladly trade that for a room.
