Certainly not the best experience!

Our first night in the room, my husband thought the fir alarm had gone off and got up to check--it turned out to be the air-conditioning unit--needless to say, very little sleep that night. the next day I went to wash up a couple of dishes--the sink was blocked and the sink disposal unit was not working. Breakfast on our second day--so many of the stations were empty--there was a constant line of people asking for food. The room was large and comfortable and the bed was comfortable. I did gently report all this to the front desk--she said she would contact the manager to get us some kind of a rebate, and would call me to tell me. Didn't expect that to happen---and two hours later, it hasn't. Not the best experience and certainly not what I expected from a Marriot hotel. Sheena Joyce

The price was very good. The rooms were well appointed - we loved having a full-sized refrigerator (with freezer, of course) and sink. Having lots of desk space was wonderful - we could put all our luggage there and pull from it when we needed stuff. Breakfast was very good. The scrambled eggs were made just the way I like them. They even had BYU Creamery ice cream by the pint for sale at the front desk mini-store. The Residence Inn is half a block from the Provo river walk. We enjoyed gazing to the "waterfall" and getting exercise walking along the path. Be aware that breakfast is very popular, so one may wait a few minutes to get a free table, especially if you have a large group that wants to sit together. The kitchenette in the room had pots, pans, serving spoons, paper towels, etc. Even a pitcher for water in the 'fridge. But there were no utensils. We just popped over to the breakfast area and got some (metal :-) spoons, forks, and knives for our room. Always wear socks in the room (room 139). The rug was very grimy. Walking around in bare feet quickly left black grudge on the soles of my feet. I doubt the rugs have ever been cleaned since they were installed.

Found 3 different bugs in our room. The desk was not cleaned. Breakfast was limited and they had trouble keeping it stocked and clean. It was fine to sleep overnight but I would not sleep there again or pay the cost of this hotel again.

Good location

They were doing some construction/maintenance on a door above and it was noisy late into the evening. (After 11 pm) which was really annoying with trying to get some sleep. The AC unit is noisy and was inconsistent in keeping the room at temp especially at night The breakfast they ran out of scrambled eggs so didn’t get any one of the mornings. Other than those 2 items it was a good stay overall.

I booked a room on Expedia for $191.85 after taxes, payable at the hotel. When we checked in at the hotel, we asked again to confirm the price, but the front desk didn’t give a clear answer. The final bill showed they charged us $210. We didn’t damage anything or use additional items/services, and I believe any extra charges should be clearly explained to guests. Aside from that, everything else was great—the room was spacious, well-equipped, very clean, and I really liked it.

I loved the room. It was a good property in a quiet area. Perfect for our family. I would stay there again. and the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts. Lots of options compared to other places.
