Not a resort

Not being maintained like it used to be. The room was cold and there was no way to warm the room other than turning off air. The water for shower was lukewarm. Refrigerator froze food and couldn’t be adjusted. Issues with water backing up in various locations in the resort

Welcoming young staff, traditional family resort.

Stayed one night. Chose it because it is on the lake and close to the winery. It’s more than we wanted to spend at $245 but thought we would treat ourselves. It was a Saturday so it was pretty busy with golf groups, weddings and families. A lively atmosphere- obviously short staffed (service flow), but everyone is understanding and patient. This resort is showing its age, wall paper peeling off the walls, carpet worn, it needs a little TLC. Our room had a nice view of the lake and a little balcony. The TV had no signal and WiFi did not work. I called front desk thinking I was doing something wrong, the staff seemed aware of the problem- and suggested I try a couple things to no avail. Very minor inconvenience. Water pressure was great. Bed comfortable and surprisingly quiet given all the young children that were staying there. We enjoyed the free putting course and the bag toss. No regrets staying there but we don’t need to spend this much for a one night stay.

Big disappointment

facility is run down and outdated. Outdoor pool was not heated and no towels. Indoor pool was cold but doable, full of sand and nothing wiped down. hot tub was also full of sand, no jets working and full of kids. no monitoring. bathrooms were out the door and up the steps so you can imagine where the little ones were peeing! sat at the outdoor bar for several hours watching the kitchen staff and servers. there was no system for getting the food out hot. we saw food sitting for 20 minutes before that server came back from an errand even though there were 3 other servers standing and waiting for their food. we waited over an hour for chicken nachos. it came out immediately after we asked about it the 3rd time. it was simply chips drenched in queso and topped with stringy chicken. we had to ask for sour cream and some salsa in order to make it edible. It appears the new ownership may be letting it go and possibly has other plans for that property I was totally shocked at how bad it was and will not be visiting that property in the future. Big disappointment!!!

Horrible, don’t do it !

Found a black bug in our bed. I showed it to the front desk and he said it was a bed bug. After a while they found a room on a different floor for us. The first thing my daughter did was to pull the sheets back and there was another black bug in that bed. When I showed them that picture I got told they looked in the room and there was nothing in the bed. 2 rooms on different floors had bugs in it. Was the nicest place around, now it’s poorly taken care and has terrible management.

Great location. Love the lake access but since our last stay about 5 years ago- looks tired and worn inside/ hallways dark/ room has some issues/ restaurant only open for breakfast. Staff was great. Waterpark could use some updates but we had a fun time regardless. Beds were very firm which I wasn't a fan of but some people prefer that. Room fridge was AMAZING the fridge was cold and the freezer worked well! All the staff was very helpful and extremely kind. Overall great place to stay with kids on a budget.

This (maybe) was a nice property but is now very old and in need of repair or remodeling (or tear down and start over!) The night we checked in there was NO heat in the room, and then- no hot water the next morning. Maintenance did come next day and fixed it, but first night we froze! Even after it was “repaired”, we then couldn’t turn the heat down, as it went off again. So we either froze or we roasted! No daily maid service in room at all. Guess you had to request it, if you wanted it. Hotel restaurant and bar were “closed” 3 of the nights we stayed! It was not inexpensive either! Won’t be staying here again.
