Comfortable
It was a comfortable room. Our deadbolt wouldn't lock and I didn't like the parking. Those are my only complaints! Other than that, room was nice and clean and it was perfect for a quick sleep.

Needs work, but has potential.
The outside of the building looks like an old run down college dorm. But the lobby is very nice and updated. The rooms have been renovated, but still lots of work to be done. Our first room didn’t have a working air conditioner. The second room needed some cleaning, had rust stains in the bathroom, and didn’t have a smoke detector. There was no pool, hot tub, restaurant, or bar as they had advertised.

We booked this hotel because of the pool and hot tub space. When we arrived it was closed with no signs of opening. Too late to find another place. Parking was not the best and service was mediocre.

Bait & Switch
Hotel was under staffed and none of the amenities as advertised were open or available for use. The pool was closed. The restaurant was closed. There was no internet access or cable TV. Also beeare they do not offer refunds once you book a room. This was a classic bait and switch scheme.

Hotel should be closed for its own good, property should be converted into a strip mall. Hotel was dirty, unsanitary, there were stains around toilet, hard to flush, tub had residue, tv remote was missing battery cover, bed sheets had hair, moldy ceilings and smelly rugs, which may have activated my allergies, loose panels/trim, parking was inconvenient, no bottled water offered and no restaurant or store on site..such a waste of a large space..

Comfortable stay
Even on a busy MSU graduation weekend, we had a very quiet stay and saw only a few other guests. This must have been a fun place for conventions pre-Covid before companies discovered they could do seminars on Zoom. It was sad to see the empty meeting rooms and lounge. Our room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Everything worked like it should. There were just some superficial things that were well worn, like some of the carpets, and the parking lots were a bit rough. The neighborhood was ok with several fast food and other options within a 5 or 10 minute drive. Overall, it was a pretty good value for the price.

Absolutely unacceptible. trash all over the place outside, inside just as dirty My room has debris all over the carpet, dead flies on the window sill, broken toilet wouldn't flush, unsanitary coffee pot in room, deteriorating desk chair not suitable to sit on. Pool broke. Hot tub broke. Continentail breakfast not offered/cancelled. No drinking fountain anywhere. Landscaping completely ignored. Very sketchy atmosphere, elevator smelled of cigarette smoke.

Gives you a place to sleep at night, can't complain too much. Parking had been confusing since the lot isn't attached to the building itself, but the staff had been super friendly and helped guide me to it. None of the amenities were available, as others have stated, so I can't speak on how they were. The location itself is nice, being walking distance for what I'd been going to, and not far from gas stations and food. I wouldn't recommend it to many, but I'd potentially stay there again.

Needs better dressed counter personnel and upgrade
First. The girl at the desk at first looked shady. Sweatshirt with hoodie covering everthing bit her eyes, nose and mouth. My husband went to meet our friend and before they left the hotel to go to the Michigan State game, he had to use the bathroom. He askedcwhere it was so he didn't have to go back up to the room. She told them there wasnt a bathroom. My husband said, I know there is as my son used it early in the morning when we first arrived. She then told them it wasnt for people off the street and asked them who they were. My husband told her he has a room here. She asked under which nsme. He told her. She asked what the room number was, he told her. She then told them where the bathroom was. He felt, being black might have contributed to her line of questioning.
The hotel smelled clean throughout. But there was a late party using the ballroom and then wreaked marijuana throughout when you walked in through the back. The room was clean. The bedskirts on the beds were tucked between the mattress and when they came out they were all torn. One curtain end was hanging. The lights didn't work in the room or were total broken, no switch. Only two towels were privided in the bathroom for 5 of us. If you have two double beds in a room, you should have at least four towels. They didn't offer breakfast even though it stated Continental Breakfast.
