Great place to stay if you do not need five star hotel service. This tiny hotel looks like an old mansion converted into a small guest house. It's locates in my favorite district of Shanghai, JingAn, and the area has plenty of nice bars and cafes. But only stairs to get to the rooms, so not suitable with people with difficulties walking.
The ground floor is a really neat Italian restaurant, which I supposed is owned by the same owner. I didn't get to try their Italian food. But the local Chinese breakfast they provided was not bad.
