The manager called us to confirm the room. We spent time at Hershey till the park closed. It was a nice courtesy call to hold the room for us when we didn't check in.
The room was worse for wear. The mattresses were badly stained, the sink handle was broken off and squeaky, the towel rack anchors were coming out of the wall and there was about 30 years worth of shower caulk disintegrating around the shower door. Nothing in the shower had been updated since the 1980's. Our reservation was for a party of 4, but we only had two bath towels, and the maid hung the shower floor mat over the shower door, which then had a black dirty streak on it.
Also, we had a late night and came down for breakfast a little after nine, and everything was gone. Cleaned up and missing. I know that some establishments make the cut off for breakfast at 9, but I thought that was a little premature. We were expecting breakfast with our stay and instead had to go to a local diner to feed our kids.
In all, I guess I got what I paid for, which was about $75 dollars for this room.
