The Shadow Lawn Inn was exquisite! We could not have been happier with our accommodations and the restaurant was beautiful and the food just delicious. The property is a beautiful vintage Victorian Home. If you are visiting Saint John NB this is the perfect quiet place to stay and it is only a 15 minute drive to the downtown. We would most definitely recommend the Shadow Lawn Inn. Thank you for a beautiful experience!

Le manoir de 150 ans possède une âme, une ambiance sereine, on y respire car les pièces sont grandes , lumineuses, aérées haut plafond, moulures, fenêtres et mobiliers surannés , c'est très beau et super confortable comme endroit! It is a well maintained old building ...but is is an old building and its hard to compete with modern heating (bedroom comfy/bathroom very cold). Bed is soo comfortable as well. It is entirely unique however in the charm, intimate interaction and beautiful dining area (i could not take advantage of this visit but hope to when I return) To be honest, it was the event entertainment (Theresa Malenfant! excellent always) that drew me there...but the overall experience will bring me back.

Huge room with two double beds. Bathroom the size of a coliseum. Rothesay is a lovely alternative to downtown Saint John and only 15-20 minutes into town. The Inn is lovely and quiet and would be $1000 a night in a large city.

It was a historical building and interesting. No elevators, but we specifically picked this location and paid extra because we wanted a jacuzzi tub. After checking in and being shown to our room, we were told the jets did not work. I didn't believe it just happened that day, and even if it had, they should have contacted me and/or offered a discount. Instead they waited until we were in the room and sprang it on us. The room was still beautiful. Then we were told there was no room for us to eat dinner on the premises, that we should have made a reservation in advance. Would've been nice to know that as well. Instead we were told there was a pub down the street so we went there. The pub's food was awesome, especially homemade desserts! 😋 Kask and Kettle Irish Gastropub. Still, staff was lovely at the hotel, and gracious. Just the rest was disappointing.

Lovely inn just 10 minutes from Saint John
This is a beautiful inn. Our room was lovely and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was very attentive. Breakfast was excellent. The restaurant is wonderful as well.
