Easy living at Carson. Mineral pool was clean, plenty of clean towels, shower & private spots to change. Plenty of room in the pool to move around and tip into that cold plunge, if you so dared.

Meh.
The service at the hotel itself was fine, the beds were very uncomfortable and the carpet was filthy. I couldn't stay here again. The bathhouse stunk and the massage was so so. Not bad but not great especially considering the price. The restaurant at the resort was severely understaffed. Food was cold. The brewery called backwoods up the road was the best part of the trip.

One thing that needs to be addressed is the room had no microwave. If we needed to heat anything up, we had to go to the main office. At times there were other people there doing the same thing. Other than that, the room was great.

Our Stay
I checked in at 4 pm, the check in time and had to wait an additional 15 minutes to get the key to my room. I was also charged an additional 250 dollar fee, that does not state anywhere is something you have to do. It’s refundable upon checkout, but now I’m going to have to check with the credit card I use and make sure that they take it off. I feel they should be more upfront about that.. also there was a lot of mold around the Jacuzzi, I feel it could be cleaned up. Other than that, the room was fairly clean.

Great place to relax
Arrived early for a massage at the property, my appt was at 11:00 for a hot stone massage. Kathleen was absolutely wonderful and friendly and gave me a very relaxing and pleasant experience upon arrival. The lady at the desk in the bathhouse was also very welcoming and kind. Our check in we were told wouldn’t be available until 4pm so we ran around doing other things most of the day. Came back after 4 pm and unfortunately our king 1 bedroom suite with hot tub we were told was not available as housekeeping was still cleaning. After we paid all this money to relax and unwind, it was a little frustrating as we had to wait an hour after our drive there to check in and then get back in line again after an hour wait to ask again if our room was ready as front desk was busy checking in other guests. I did feel bad for the front desk staff as there were 2 very rude and impatient other guests causing a scene, so I waited patiently for an hour for the room to finally be ready. Once we arrived in our suite it was great! Clean and comfortable. Lots of space and privacy and the spa robes to use during our stay were a nice treat. We had a great view of the forest with the rain falling and mist in the air. The private hot tub with mineral water was so relaxing- (minus the people near us smoking weed outside that we had to smell) Ate dinner & breakfast up at the lodge. Food and staff were great! Will definitely be back and make this our new annual winter break family getaway to relax!

Christmas at the Hot Springs
Arrived at 345 for a 4 pm checkin and a soak and wrap at 5 pm. Room was not ready. Short on staff. Finally got into my room at 450 pm. Room was nice and clean. Had a hot tub on our deck. Felt a little slimy so not sure when the tub was cleaned. Enjoyed the soak and wrap for $35. Unfortunately, there is no food available at this location - either bring something with you or go to town to find something. Robes were nice and warm and needed to go from room to spa to soaking pool since there are no covered walkways around the hotel. Tried to cold pool plunge - a different experience for sure.
