I did not have the same experience as those who rated this hotel "excellent." The good thing is that our room was clean and comfortable, even if it was just about as far away from all entrances and exits as possible. But that's the only really good thing. Staff seemed unhappy and were not very pleasant to interact with, the laundry facilities were out of order, the spa was never open during our stay, the doggy waste station was out of bags, and it was hot in the common areas-in the middle of July they had at least one hallway window open, and they don't want you to set your room temperature below 74. And no room service or free breakfast--you have to go to their restaurant if you want food, and breakfast is $15/person (I didn't even attempt to go for lunch or dinner).
Back to the issue with staff- I assumed that a "resort" would be full service, but each time I had to interact with staff, starting with check-in, they acted like I was bothering them asking them to do their jobs. Only one front desk staff member greeted and smiled at me; the other two I interacted with looked so miserable that I avoided them as much as I could-which meant I didn't ask questions regarding activities I was interested in (like the scenic lift ride). The two housekeeping staff I saw during my stay also looked very unhappy (maybe they were hot!). We ended up booking a second night in the hotel only because we were already there and didn't want to move, but I will never go back.
