Not recommended
Building is old. In need of a deep cleaning. Pool not open supposedly closed for seasonal maintenance but was not aware when booking. No towels in room. When i requested towels was only provided 1 towel and 1 washcloth. Only 1 trashcan. Had to use a grocery store bag for bathroom trash. The bed was the worst bed i ever tried to sleep in. Felt like i was sleeping on springs and mattress kept sliding every time I tried to get on the bed.

Beware
The second we pulled into the teeny tiny garage we just knew this place would be awful - the entire building was dirty and when we walked into our room it was absolute filth. No amount of cleaning our room would have made us comfortable staying here. For the price I would have expected a much better experience. We checked out within an hour of checking in - the staff offered to reclean or move us to another room but from the state of the room we were in we were sure another room would be no better. Spend $25-50 more to go somewhere much much cleaner!

I booked 2 rooms for my daughter’s cheer competition. My other half of the family arrived early around 2 pm and was told there room was ready. Upon inspecting the room they found rabbit poop in the closet. They opened the sleeper couch and found stray or hay all over it. They went to the front desk and was told that they can send someone to clean the room but that was all. So when we arrived later in the evening with the rest of the family I did not check in to my room. I booked a different room at a different hotel. I am a member of hotels.com and have been for awhile. You can see I booked another hotel in Virginia Beach. We ended staying at Ramada by Wyndham. I would like my money refunded please.

Good stay, great location
Everything was acceptable, nothing fancy - certainly for being the off-season and for the price we got about what we expected which was fine. Can't beat the ocean views and location on the boardwalk. Would be nice to have a curtain over the bedroom window that faces the hallway where the lights are on all night. There is a vinyl shade but it doesn't block the light.

Hotel staff at check out and check in was super nice. Gave the review a 5 because of the price, location and staff, but the hotel looks like it’s in the process of being updated. I would definitely stay with my family of 5 again.

The location is IDEAL and every room has balcony with ocean front . . . but the chairs on the balcony were broken. The sofa in the room was broken and uncomfortable. We needed to call for toilet paper, tissues, coffee cups, and other usual amenities that should have been in the room. This room did not have the extra pillow or blanket. The security latch on the door was bent and did not provide security.

Great Location - Needs to be Cleaned
The location was perfect. The room was questionable in terms of cleanliness. The layout was nice as there were separate areas for sleep, dining and lounging. The heating and cooling system was delayed in action.

ROACH HOTEL
Shame on everybody in housekeeping and marketing! This place is disgusting and the photos are misleading. I pre-paid for my room through Hotels.com and still had to pay an additional deposit when I arrived. As soon as I walked into the 5th floor 2 room suite, I detected a weird odor that smelled like syrup. When I turned the lights on DOZEN OF ROACHES began to scatter away. A few were bold enough to stand their ground (like the one in the photo). After the initial shock of seeing the roaches, the dired up white stains on the beddding and sticky countertops, I immediately returned to the front desk and demanded that my deposit I was charged be refunded as well as the cost of the room. The clerk refunded the cost of the room but Hotels.com gave me the hardest time refunding me for the room.
