Very friendly welcome and check in. Positive first impression of reception area. Room was generally in good condition, clean and well-presented. Everything worked, plenty of hot water in powerful shower. Food quality very good for the price, varied menu options each day for dinner. The bed suited my preference just right, as did the pillows. Sheets and linen were clean and fresh. Only slight criticism would be that behind the beds needed hoovering, it was a little dusty (something I only noticed because I dropped something) and the bathroom window needed cleaning. Overall however, I very much enjoyed the stay. Every member of staff I spoke to was friendly but also smartly presented and professional. Would happily stay again.

Run down
Rooms run down. Carpet dirty and tub chair worn away. Room was tiny & so run down. Shower went from hot to cold. Reported to reception who said maintenance would come have a look but nobody ever came. Photos are deceiving. Spend a bit extra and go somewhere else!!

Entertainment was good ,food was so-so ,2 lifts were broken during stay stairs to floor where room was very steep,even though i paid through hotels.com they somehow got my credit card details and charged me for 6 nights again, they admitted it was a mistake but it took me till last day to get a refund

Pillows was very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on felt awful got no sleep and woke up with bad headache off uncomfortable pillows need to be softer or replaced .staff was nice hotel entertainment okay its not the best mainly all old songs.bacon was hard at breakfast as it dries out under heated light other than that was okay.

Won’t stay again
The food was basic. The room was ok but cold. We had a dripping tap which we reported on the first night which was never repaired. The entertainment was great on Friday but ABBA on Sat I was cringing they looked so silly in their costumes.

Poor Service.
Have just stayed at this hotel, the room was okay, up until the guests the next door on Im assuming whilst using their shower ,made the most horrendous loud vibrating noise, which went on for some time, it eventually stopped, but wasn't very pleasant. I didn't report it, but was concerned if it happened again. However, this morning, after having a shower, I I realised the electric had gone off, I waited a while to get through to the reception, & a gentlemen said he would get straight onto maintenance, 40 minutes later , I was still waiting,. On ringing the reception again the gentlemen explained he had rang maintenance, & was quite abrupt in his manner, saying he,ll get in touch with them again, I explained I needed to leave soon, and I needed to use the hairdryer, kettle ect,. The maintenance guy then turned up, claimed he had fixed it, but quite clearly hadn't, and again was fairly unconcerned regarding the issue, I then unfortunately had to leave, to start my journey back home. I was very upset. All in all, unpleasant stay.

On arrival the girl behind the counter was ok. The lady on desk at tea time was as much use as a chocolate fire guard. Only wanted a replacement remote for the tv or new batteries and couldn’t even do that. My impression is she couldn’t even be arsed getting off her bum. Furniture in room very dated, scratched, chunks missing. Dent in the wall. Bathroom very small however shower was nice and hot. No parking but they charge £8 for a space next door on a scrap bit of land which they say is premium

Only had 2 night stay half board booked a large double room but on arrival had a quadruple room no big deal as more space. All meals and breakfast were very good, Room was clean,cleaner asked on first morning if we required any fresh towels. Entertainment at night was 3 singing acts 2 were very good 1 not so good.only down side was thought bar prices were a bit high when paying at bar, think they have an alinclusive opinion but not sure on prices

Poor stay
Room was way too hot, bathroom was very small, shower head dirty. Paid extra to check out late but was told we had to leave an hour sooner. Was given the room key but not told way to go apart from go in the lift and floor 1. Breakfast was poor, dinning room unorganised.
