Unique and fun accommodation

Safe and quiet area. Close to the Oceanarium which the kids enjoyed. AC is a lifesaver in the heatwave. Nice complimentary Nespresso coffee. Would be nice if wine opener is provided.

The boat we stayed was clean and big with outdoor small dinning area at the back of the deck. The room was super clean and with AC and the boat is stable and doesn’t feel like living on the boat! It’s a prefect experience for both of us.

The accommodation was very clean, and the person at reception, Rui, was also nice and helpful. What we didn’t enjoy at all was the fact that this is a houseboat, and unfortunately, among the several boats there, ours didn’t have any chairs or an outdoor table. To enjoy the outside area, we had to sit on the floor, while other guests on nearby boats had tables and chairs. It didn’t feel very nice to be on the ground while others were comfortably seated right next to us. Another thing that could be improved is communication with the reception. Since the reception is located outside and quite far, it would be great if each boat had a phone to contact them directly. Otherwise, you have to go outside regardless of the weather, or pay for a phone call — which can be expensive if you’re using an international number. For the price of the stay, I think that would be a valuable addition for guests. Apart from that, it was a nice experience. The boat itself was comfortable and beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable too. The view wasn’t the best, as part of it looked directly at a wall and the marina reception area, but overall, it was a good stay.

Overnight stay

We loved our stay at The Tagus Houseboat. The boat was very clean and spacious and well equipped. We only had one night here and I wish we had stayed longer: The location was great and close to restaurants and cafes.

Family friendly house boats

Wonderful experience. The kids loved the boat. The location was superb, clean, and felt safe for families. Local amenities including the kid friendly interactive scienec center, cable car ride, and tons of food options.

This was by far our most unique residence. Near the bustle of the city and over the waves, this location has the best of both worlds. My stay was filled with feelings of security and peace, and an appreciation for the short distance between the boat and the city's diverse set of dining experiences. Inside, the rocking of the waves was never felt, and no sea sickness was caused. Instead, the boat provided a cozy, warm environment, perfect to return to after a long day of sightseeing!

Opholdet var udemærket, men på trods af, at de skrev, der var daglig rengøring, så blev der ikke gjort rent i fire dage. Vi skulle selv dagligt spørge efter toiletpapir og tømme skraldespande.

Loved it

Lovely stay in a great houseboat. Super clean, near good cafes and bars, and a short walk from a bus stop to get to everywhere else in Lisbon. We had a great time. The kitchen is quite basic so we mainly ate breakfast or brought food in when in the boat. The bar on the marina is jumping on Friday and Saturday night. Best to join in.

We had a great time staying on the houseboat at the Tagus Marina. We were warmly welcomed by staff at the front office and given a thorough tour of the boat. While not walkable to the "downtown"/historic area of Lisbon, the location of the marina was excellent, and felt clean and safe. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby, including a nice grocery store. The train station and airport are within about a 15 minute drive. The boat was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

Such a pleasant surprise! Spacious, all the amenities you need and handy location to the aquarium and a children’s science museum. A lot of restaurants nearby and a supermarket 5min walk. Recommended!

Wonderful special stay in an english canal boat

We absolutely loved out stay in the houseboat. It was well deaigned and felt very spacious for my family of 4 and had everything we needed to be cozy and comfortable. We spent the night here upon returning to the airport for an early flight. The neighborhood was lovely for strolling with lots of dining options and seaside path and expo grounds. We checked in at 7pm so the front desk as closed but we called and the staff arrived to let us in within 10 min
