The accommodation was very clean, and the person at reception, Rui, was also nice and helpful.
What we didn’t enjoy at all was the fact that this is a houseboat, and unfortunately, among the several boats there, ours didn’t have any chairs or an outdoor table. To enjoy the outside area, we had to sit on the floor, while other guests on nearby boats had tables and chairs. It didn’t feel very nice to be on the ground while others were comfortably seated right next to us.
Another thing that could be improved is communication with the reception. Since the reception is located outside and quite far, it would be great if each boat had a phone to contact them directly. Otherwise, you have to go outside regardless of the weather, or pay for a phone call — which can be expensive if you’re using an international number. For the price of the stay, I think that would be a valuable addition for guests.
Apart from that, it was a nice experience. The boat itself was comfortable and beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable too. The view wasn’t the best, as part of it looked directly at a wall and the marina reception area, but overall, it was a good stay.
