Great inn overlooking the fjord!
Incredible little inn right on the winding road half way down the mountain overlooking the Geirangerfjord. Free parking, great breakfast, nice restaurant, lounge area, rooms with great views, comfortable beds, and good wifi. What's not to like. Great short stay.

Spectacular location, oversees the fjord, older property, but well maintained . Friendly staff. Only disadvantage is cannot walk to any place as it is high on the mountain but the view compensates for it. Can get busy with tour bus travellers .

Amazing Hotel in the lap of the beautiful nature
Amazing Hotel in the midst of picturesque nature. Spacious rooms. And wow! there is a wonderful view even from the bathroom. Great vegetarian breakfast options.
Please do provide the ingredients 'sticky note' on all the dishes so that it helps the Vegetarians to what to choose and what not to choose. It is a historic hotel with beautiful rooms. Seating area in the lobby is very beautiful. Complimentary Coffee, Tea and WiFi are very good. Parking space is available. Friendly staff. Loved our stay. Comfortable and wonderful.

Great view from hotel
Great view in front of hotel. 2-3 viewpoints walking from hotel just 5 mins. If you back to hotel too late, you may have trouble in finding a parking spot.

Pricey, worn and unpleasant staff!!
The view was magnificent, but the rooms and hotel is pretty worn out. The stay was very pricey (NOK 6.500,- for a family room without the fjordview). The restaurant had great food, but stiff prices; NOK 2.600,- for a family of 4.
Thos hotel and staff have seen better days. The location is perfect, but the hotel is in desperate need of a total makeover…

Unbelievable view! Definitely get the fjord view room on level 3. The hotel is old so be prepared to walk the stairs- there is no elevator. The beds are comfy, but the bathrooms are super small & old.

This was a lovely hotel and good value for money compared to other hotels we stayed at in Norway. It was actually my favourite hotel in the 3 weeks we stayed in Norway. The location is about a 5-10min drive into Geiranger where all the stores and activities are or you could choose to walk down. You do have to pay to park down in the town but the hotel parking is free. Their breakfast is incredible! I’m sure their dinner would be great too but we didn’t actually stay for supper. We did not stay in a room with a view but i’m sure these would have been fabulous. We loved our stay.

Very nice location close to great view point I’d Geiranger. Hotel is very nicely maintained. The staff was able to answer our questions, but didn’t seem to be interested in connecting with the guests. It was our first time in Geiranger and first time staying at this historic hotel. We are eager to learn more about the town and history of the hotel as well as nearby neighborhood. However the staff came across distant and not interested in offering much information. The restaurant service also seemed to be quite slow and minimal.

Property is very nice old hotel building, however, there is no elevator on this building so I have to carry heavy luggage to the third floor. I don’t think this is a hotel for elderly people. Service reception was exceptional, Margo, the reception member was so very nice and helpful. Thank you

Had a great stay and would 100% recommend it for anyone staying in Geiranger. We appreciated being far enough up the hill to get away from the thick crowds of cruise ship tourists. Consider asking for a third floor room if possible. We stayed on the second floor and because of the slope of the road in front of the building it felt a bit like ground floor when tour busses come past! But even with a second floor room I still highly recommend this location. Rooms are tiny and bathrooms are dated, typical of a classic European hotel, but they are clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and both were excellent. Spring the extra money for the fjord facing rooms — worth it!
