Located on a quiet street, 15 minutes walk to shopping streets and Nishiki market. Rooms were decent size and beds were comfortable. Last but not least staff are very friendly!

By far my favorite hotel that we stayed in during our visit to Japan. I prefer to stay a little out of the way of the major corridors, and this was a perfect fit with that in mind. About a 10-15 minute gets you out to the prime areas of town. The hotel staff were very kind and hospitable, and our room was pristine and spacious. Bed and linens all felt incredible, the little details go a long way. The hotel is mid-block so you won't have spectacular views, but you have peace and quiet, and a lovely place to spend some time. Highly recommended.

Everything about this hotel was incredible and the staff and room created an experience of home. Every person we spoke to at the front desk was beyond helpful and went out of their way to secure reservations or provide recommendations on things to do or places to eat. The staff was so friendly and personable, even after we asked they unlock the room safe three times! The room itself was huge, warm, inviting, and impeccably clean. Toiletries were great quality, the shower was huge, the bed was so comfortable—I couldn’t say enough good things! This place is a gem amongst all the jewels of Kyoto.

The bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in. I have been back 5 times now. Highly recommended if you are just looking for a nice place with minimal accommodation to stay.
