Questionable stay this time around

I wasn't given a marina view that i paid for there only one elevator working the whole 5 day stay , they dont encourage to use the stairs making it a difficult and time consuming to pray on time. This experience was very difference from the last just a month ago. Hopefully management reads this comment n be better.

I stayed at Campanile Hotel 10days during my business trip. I would like to say my special thanks to Housekeeper-Mrs.Naima, Security-Mr. Samir and Mr.Abdurrahim and ladies at front desk who showed their hospitality, assistance and cooperation during my stay. I will prefer to stay again at the Campanile for my next trip because of these well educated, nice staff.

They were very helpful when it came to getting a taxi late at night to get to the train station. The room wasn't anything special but it did the job as did the restroom/shower. We didn't stay long enough to see what the bar/restuarant area was like but visually it looked nice.

The property was well maintained and comfortable. The gal at the reception was exceptional, welcoming and professional. She was very accommodating to taking care of needs to with the room when things needed correcting, and the gal at housekeeping was excellent as well. I wasa served coffee and tea regularly at my room.

Overall, welcoming hotel. Staff greeted us well in the morning. The pictures of the lobby are accurate. The pictures of the rooms are not accurate. The carpets and bathrooms are not super clean. Comparable for the prices. Decent stay overall.

Following check out I tried contacting the hotel with regards to an item left in my room, the phone was not answered when I tried calling and there has been no reply or acknowledgment to either the direct email or message I sent via Expedia (it’s been a month). Unfortunately I ended up having to get a local to support and engage through an alternate route. Not what you expect from an international hotel chain. In addition the room also had an unpleasant smell, and from speaking with other guests I met staying there mine I was not alone in thinking this.

Yes there was very very very poor bad experience with this hotel I don’t know how do you like give them 10 out of 101 thing they charge me city tax which is already paid by my booking second thing in the bedrooms they’re not changing the sheets every day they’re not also also Put the water bottle and not clean properly. Hotel Campanile looks respectable from the outside, but the interior of the room was dirty, the shower temperature fluctuated, the aircon did not respond to the thermostat, and we eventually realised that the very thin, 'grey' towels should have been white!! For a country with an abundance of oranges, orange squash was served at breakfast. The breakfast was continental and basic in content. The website advertises a front desk safe, which the reluctant staff agreed that we could keep our passports in 'their' safe, but not any valuables. The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to a tram line, and 15 mins walk to Cassa Voyageur rail station. It is on edge of business district so a quiet nights sleep. The hotel needs to train the staff to be 'people friendly', and improve the hygiene in the rooms by instructing the house keeping team, on cleaning and bed making. There is a Carrefour 10 mins walk away toward station, but there is a lack of eateries nearby.

This hotel is the definition of "you get what you pay for." The double room I had was clean-ish. There were hard water stains and mold along the shower glass. I was provided one dingy towel upon checking in that went missing after my second day - it took me an hour to get another similarly dingy towel. My room was fairly small, barely enough for one person. There was no safe in the room, and Wi-Fi didn't work very well either. The gym was small but functional: one treadmill, one bicycle, an all-purpose weights machine, and a rack of dumbbells up to 25 kg. The hotel is located fairly far from any of the tourist attractions in Casablanca (at least 20-30 minutes on foot to United Nations Square of Hassan II Mosque), but the hotel's area has small cafes and restaurants with friendly owners and reasonable prices. Thjs hotel is on the lower end of being a 3-star hotel, but the price is decent.
