My biggest issue with the stay is that we reserved a 2 bedroom suite with 1 king bed in the first room and 2 single beds in the second room. The room we got had 1 kind bed, 1 single bed and a sofa sleeper in the common room. This basically forced us into not having a functional common room. The hotels.com website CLEARLY lists this property has having 2 bedrooms / 1 king and 2 single beds in each room. This is the primary reason we booked at De Jonker and were very disappointed to not have the option we paid for. The onsite person said this configuration does not exist.
The other issue we had is the lack of ability to store our luggage while we waited for check in. It cost us an additonal 25 euro to taxi from the 'sister property' where we were able to store our bags. It was time consuming, costly and very inconvenient. Thankfully, I checked with the properly first to see what the check in process would be, otherwise it would have been twice as expensive and time consuming.
